The slow reason may be one or more problems acting together. The problem
nowadays is that it is very difficult and time consuming to monitor and
take care of your Lenovo PC. Even experienced users find it hard to
perform such tasks on regular basis because you might need to prepare a
huge amount of time and energy to deal with each issue separately.
Welcome to Fixya. Memory Upgrade for Averatec AV3270-EE1 Laptop, the Averatec AV3270-EE1 Laptop takes the PC2700 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 512 MB (removable) of Memory. You can upgrade your Averatec AV3270-EE1 Laptop to up to a maximum of 1.0 GB Memory, the system has 1 socket to install Memory, already with 512 MB (removable) standard Memory installed.
Speed depends on:
* the disk-drive -- run "Disk Defragmenter" to optimize the placement of files, and run "Disk Cleanup" to delete unnecessary files;
* the CPU-speed (a laptop computer running only on battery power will slow itself down; so, connect the AC power)
* the amount of RAM (add more RAM).
Since you already did those things to speed up your computer like disabling some start up program and that help in the computers performance but some application are still slow. The next thing that you can do is to remove some unneeded programs that are installed on the computer to free up some resources like Memory and hard drive. Do also a Dis De-fragmentation on your hard drive to clean and compact you drive. If you really like to speed the computer the best way to do that is to add up some RAM on this computer since the computer can support up to 2 GIG of RAM, this computer only came with 512 MB of RAM so adding RAM on the computer will definitely make it work faster. This is the type and specs of your RAM that you need DDR2 SDRAM - 400.0 MHz
just go to a computer store and ask for that type of RAM.
Ok, firstly, the ram will not extend the life of your laptop, it will only give a slight increase in the process speed of your laptop, depending on how much you add.
You can buy the ram modules you need at any computer hardware store, they will instruct you on the best prices and how to install it. You can also try to buy it online(Ebay) where you will somwtimes get a better deal.
Slow computer can also cause by alot of software install on your system that is using the resources of your computer like the Memory and Processor, so first thing you can do is to remove some unneeded software that you have on your computer and then after that try also running a scan on yuour computer with a good anti virus and anti malware because can also slow your computer down...
Mun MSCONFIG and shut off everything you don't really need to run in the background. Reboot and do a full virus scan and a full malware / spyware scan. Next, run a greigtry cleaner program. All of these will work together to speed you up but the registry cleaner will really make the difference. It all but tripled the speed of my laptop.
your sys is really so good.
check in task manager identify some unknown proess .
they are virus.
clean all temp files.
disk cleanup run.
scan your sys with avast, quick heal ,symantec one bye obe with update definition in safe mode.
then u get some malware and viruses.
then delete it.
after that run chkdsk utiliity.
then defragmen all drive
now your sys really speed up.
best of luck my friend.
I'm thinking it's time to add more RAM to it. With the amount of space that's used up i'm imagining that your hard drive light is flashing alot now. I recommend that you put an extra gig of RAM in it. I hope this sorts out the problem for you.
on ccleaner use the until to setup the startup and get rid of somestuff.. also you could use another 512mb of ram.. its pretty cheap now.. check out newegg.com or crucial.com . once a year i back up everything on my computer and Format my OS harddrive and reinstall windows . There is nothing better then a fresh install of windows. that will for sure speed things up until you bogg it down with programs again.. but at least you can start over. good luck , hope this has helped.
