Your image is corrupt from an improper shut down. I had the same problem. Reinstall default .TIB and it will boot fine.

Either you can repair the OS using the software CD or you can download and use Hiren's boot CD. You can find more info through :

Unable to login to SmartNAVI how can I reset to factory defaults to create a new user name and p[assword?

The user manual for this device is available on the manufacturers website. Promise NS4600 manual.

The instructions (with pictures) are on page 197 of the manual (or page 209 of the PDF).

"To reset the Administrator's password:1. Verify that the SmartStor is fully booted.
2. Insert your reset tool into the reset button hole on the back of the SmartStor.
3. Press and hold the reset button for eight seconds, until the System Status LED flashes three times. The Administrator's password is now reset to admin."

Need to reset the password on a Poweredge 4400 server.

You would need to use an admin account, local or network. I can be done via Active Directory or by anybody else that can Manage it via network.

The other option is to use a third party util like Hiren's Boot CD. Lastly is to format. gl

Cannot access admin functions toshiba magnia sg20

If it was unplugged for any period of time, it is probably reset to default settings. Password is default, etc and you are trying to access with the wrong credentials.

Try resetting it manually and starting as if you just purchased it, if you continue to have problems. There should be a reset button or procedures on how to reset in the documentation.

How to reset dlink adsl router dsl-502t

Hi rishibrd,
Usually these routers have a reset function. Look at your users guide for the actual reset button. Sometimes the reset button is accessed with the use of a paper clip, which is pushed into the reset hole. This will reset the router back to factory defaults. You will lose all settings, so it would be a good idea to jot down on paper whatever settings you have applied for connectivity, so that you will be able to reapply those settings again afterwards.
