SOURCE: Optoma/computer

A computer tech in my department spent about 30 minutes but was finally able to get the S-video cable to work with my computer. He got the extended monitor to work first. Then by trying many things was able to get the monitor to clone in TV mode (because of the S-video). Thanks for your offer though.

The board under the mainboard plugs into the top board like a cartridge. You have to disconnect all the cables from the mainboard then pull up on board to detact it from bottom board then you should see lamp driver in the back. Make sure hands are clean from static. Good luck.

SOURCE: my projector won't project anything.

Disconnect all inputs to the BENQ and power on. Do the lights come on as per normal operation. Does the lamp come on when the power button is pressed. Does anything show when the menu is selected.

Our new Optoma projector TX612 will not display any windows from the PC nor will it play any dvd's. Not sure how to reset it.

You need to add the projector to the display list in Windows Control Panel on the computer. if you have an install disc with the projector, run it on the computer. It may have drivers for the projector on it.While you are running the disc- Watch!!! You can save yourself frustration.

I purchased an IMATION Projection Link. It did not come with a CD-ROM or User Guide. I am connecting it to an Optima 728 Video Projector with a VGA cord and an IBM Thinkpad operating Windows XP. When I...

I had the same problem with my Optoma ES566 and solved it by doing the following: 1. Connect the receiver to the projector using the vga cable. 2. Plug in the projector and the receiver. 3. Turn the projector and the receiver on. 4. With the computer booted, plug the USB dongle into an available port. The light on the dongle will flash green and then turn amber when the device is recognized. The projected image should change from the Imation logo to your desktop.

This sequence has always worked for me.
