Question about Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

My DYSON DC07 upright vacum

Vacum runs if I hold the start button down.

    The start button will not engage. The vacuum will run if and only if I hold the red start button down.

The actuator in the switch is defective, you can replace just the switch. There are several places to get just the switch, just google "dyson dc07 parts" for places on where to get the switch.

Get a rubber mallet and hit the switch on the top not too hard but it will fix it 90% of the time. I do this with all my Dysons and it works. Just a fix that cost nothing. easier than replacing switch.

When I PUSH THE RED BUTTON TO TURN ON THE DYSON IT RUNS AND HAS SUCTION AS LONG AS I HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON--wHEN I TAKE MY FINGER OFF OF THE BUTTON THE DYSON STOPS RUNNING

Vacuum will not start when the on/off switch is


try replaced power switch part no:910971-01
if unit in warranty send service for free....

You probably have a blockage somewhere in the hose or in the base where the hose goes in. Remove the plastic tube at the base of the hose by simply unclicking it and remove the obstruction.
