Question about Epson Stylus Photo R200 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Won't print I installed R200 with Windows Vista. The printer is recognized and I can set up printer preferences. I'm printing from Photoshop Elements 6.0. It was working and I was printing pictures and now it will not print. The photo's stay in pending status. Both the green and red light will blink....I can get them to stop blinking and then try to print and it will go to pending again. Also I can not tell what color ink cartridge that I'm low on now as it will not indicate that either.

epson r200 had been working steadily since december when I bought a vista installed pc. Now, suddenly, the printer won't print, ink low light flashes but when I click on ink levels says "unable to retrieve ink levels. Please check your connection to the printer." So frustrating!

Hi,
you should have a toolkit if the printer software is installed.
this should allow you to view printer preferences et,c.
Ink Levels. page sizes prefs. and general print options.
Try Start/Printer Or go into Control Panel/Printers Right click on your printer and select Properties.
Theres also a way, to lift the lid. press the Ink Button. And the cartridge should Move to the desired Low Cartridge Arrow.
Alternative is to print a test page, to see which colour is Missing.

I cant stop my printer printing both sides of the paper

After you attach the two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) to your product, you do not have the option to print on both sides of the paper when you try to print. The two-sided printing option is not available in the print dialog box.

I keep getting the message "the epson printer driver dealing with cd printing is not installed" when trying to print onto a CD. I have an Epson Stylus Photo R200 using Windows 7. I am working with Print CD...

Try to troubleshoot compatibilty. Right click the program icon of print cd then click troubleshoot compatibility, click try recommended settings, click start the program, click yes to run the program, if it works save the setting. If it doesn't work try to download print cd version compatible with windows 7.
Goodluck.

There is no driver for win 7, although if you are running on windows 7 32bit there is a work around. Download the software for windows vista 32 bit for the 2840.

Printing from Elements 6 w/ HP 8250, image pushed to left.

I wish I did have a solution. Photoshop Elements 7 exhibits the same problem. They obviously broke something. I have to use an old version of Photoshop Elements 4 just to print properly. I am a tech support professional, uninstalled all HP software, re-installed latest drivers and problem persists. Sucks.
