Hi its pretty easy to remove the cover, however to get the discs out in a major job.
its either 4 or 6 screws that hold the cover on, then you just pop it off.

the cd trays however are a nightmare. they normally jam halfway in and you will need to strip the entire thing down to get them out.

there is no easy way.

How can I get a stuck CD out of my car's multi disc player?

Magazine-type players can fail with a CD in transit which leaves you with a magazine that can't be removed. You may have to remove the complete unit from the dash and disassemble it to get access to the CD causing the trouble.

How do you open the base unit to remove the cd changer magazine

The top cover is held on with 4 clips (similar to those on a car door card) so needs to be gently prised off, this will expose screws etc to enable the bottom cover to be removed.

Ive done this with my system but it does not really help solve the problem, I still can't get to the jammed disc!!

It is likely that a CD is stuck in transit between the magazine and the player mechanism. It may be necessary to remove the radio and disassemble it enough to get the CD back into its magazine slot and allow removal of the magazine.

Stuck CD Magazine

You'll have to take the cover off. Look for screws around the back and on the sides. Most likely a cd is wedged in the wrong place. (not fully ejected) and is preventing the magazine from ejecting.

I can't remove the left magazine from a Superloader 3. The unit has failed and I need to remove the tapes. The eject magazine does not work, it doesn't pull the drive gear back.

I found this solution on line and it worked for me. Believe it or not I used a butter knife and stuck it between the magazine and mail slot close to the bottom. You will hear a click and the magazine will pop out. It is like using a paperclip for a stuck CD. Make sure you power the device down and unplug it.

I have a 6 disk magazine CD changer that the magazine is stuck and will not eject. Are there any solutions? Aside from taking the whole console appart? n can u give the cheapest quote for fixing the...

I am afraid that this need to be opened for a solution unless you are able to wriggle or carefully tapping for the cd to release. It may not be an expensive fault but usually some cd would have got entangled within the mechanism. hence tap on the cover carefully to see if it would release. If not open the changer after removing the holding screws, look out for any cds locked within, slowly wind up the loading motor to release. Now check the cd's , remove all and keep only one cd inside the magazine. Then load and watch, if all goes well you have done it remove off the bad cd . if not there could be a link or mechanism that is stuck. check the line to the loading motor, check the loading drive ic. try to hear any noise as the set is powered as friction to move. release or remove and set. I am sure if your are able to look carefully the problem could be around. if not there could be serious fault of failure of componets which requires more probe with a technical hand. hope this advice helps Good day.

12 Disc CD Changer in 2002 Corvette Convertible

I had this problem on my 2001 Corvette. I took the whole thing out, took off the cover and was able to get the jammed cartridge out by carefully pulling the stuck tray out of the carriage and then removing the entire carriage. Check to make sure your individual trays are not warped. Mine continued to work without problems for about three months and then it happend again. Another thing you can do is not to load a disk in the last (#12) slot. I think it's the one that gets stuck.

How to open the case?

Hi- I had to also remove the CD cartridge. A Pain! You can easily remove the case cover. You need to carefully remove the LED lens from the front by using a small putty knife to depress the expansion pins on the right and left sides and pry the lens cover up. Then, use the putty knife to lightly pry up the aluminum top cover. There are 4 nylon pins affixed to the aluminum cover by double stick tape. They are approximately 1.5" from the corners. Lightly pry up each corner to remove the top cover and you are in. There are no screws. Don't gorrilla the thing or you will bend the aluminum. Cheers!
