The electrical wire Red or Black is bare and touching the shunt arm on your Andis T, check for this by unscrewing the top screws, (make sure you unplug the electrical cord on your Andis T before you open the top cover) Check to see if the black tape is rap around the black and white wire, also check to see if the red wire is not lose or touching the shunt are if so you will see black arcing marks were it is making contact. if you need any more help email us at [email protected]

This Andis model is not very good for shaving,I purchase one before didn't do the job. I recommend The Andis GTO you can have it sharpen and adjusted to shave. check out www.mannys-sharpening.com I had purchase my Andis T-outliner service and adjust for shaving. The good thing about manny's sharpening when you purchase Andis T-Outliner he will ask you how would you like your trimmer set at' for line ups or Fade cuts or Shaving set. he resharpen the blade and make sure the trimmer is adjust power and set blade and trimmer too your request. You may pay a little more but it's worth it. Oh one more thing about his service and warranty after 3 month he gives you a free sharpening and service on the Andis trimmer you purchase from him. i took apart my andis t edjer trimmer and a small gold strip fell out

Sometimes the new blades are not sharpen enough, You need to have it resharpen by a professional and adjust to the type of work you want it to do. Also sometimes even if you have the blade resharpen it will not cut, because the trimmer motor needs more power to move the blade side to side faster. On and the Andis GTO T-outliner trimmer this the most comm problem. Try Mannys Sharpening
