Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
I have a HP dv9408nr notebook. I keep getting "code 10" that it can not start the drive dvd drive. In the control panel, it lists the dvd as a Matshita dvd-ram UJ -851s ATA device. version 6.0.6000.16386. I have tried to update the driver, but it says it is up to date. Is there anything I can do to fix this without bringing it in. The light comes briefly on when I open the door and close it, but nothing happens when I try to use the drive.
Go to control panel, classic view, system, hardware, device manager, dvd, cdrom devices and go to the cddrive in the drop down menu and uninstall it. restart your computer and it will reinstall the cd drive if you have any more questions, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
