Sony KP-53xbr45 problem

My sound works but no picture. The timer/stanby light flashes. No pattern at all. It just flashes the whole time with no break.

On your model which is a RA-1 chassis the power light blinking steady just means the standby voltages are operating, so you will need to trouble shoot the power supply. you will either need the service manual or training manual to trck down the faulty component.

YOu may need to replace the bulb in the unit, check the bulb and if blown, you need to replace and after replacing reset the lamp time hours. Good luck.

Are you getting sound? If not, then your power supply is faulty. If you sound but no picture, then an IC or STK capacitors are faulty depending on what type of tv it is.

Please post both the exact model number (on the back) and the blink count. The standby light should be blinking a repeated pattern. That info will indicate the problem circuit and allow us to provide you with the proper parts/steps to resolve this.
