Due to some virus attack when you connect to pc (if you have the pc connectivity) or due to some mis operations like removing the battery suddenly when the organizer is switched on the firmware might have got damaged ... due to this some of the files which are needed for the operation are missing or corrupted ...
due to this you are facing this type of problem ...
just try giving the reset option ...
this may solve the problem ...
if you have pc connectivity then just connect to the pc & check for the virus in this memory device ....
if the virus is there remove it ... ( might be the virus is trojan as it attacks all the memory devices when connected to the pc if the pc is affected)

try removing both the batteries if it is 2 battery one means for some 5 mins ...
then try replacing the batteries ....

    check the terminals + & - ......
this might have also happened if you leave the battery in the compartment for a years due to leakage the terminal might have got damaged due to this there is no correct supply of power i think ,....

if the terminals are rusted or something like that means then you must replace them,

You can just use a pencil eraser that hasn't erased pencil. The other option is the electronic wipes you buy at any retail outlet that sells electronics. If you found this helpful I hope you will accept and/or rate as such.
    Thanks,

Hi-

try to do a reset and check on the power button as well if it seemed stuck. seems that theres some issue on the power button or switch, but try resetting it first.

The on switch is probably faulty, this may be due to oxyde or a broken contact, the device should be taken apart. If it oxide a spray of contact cleaning solution can do the job, if it is a broken contact, or if you need to change the switch a precision soldering job is required, in this case is better to take it to a repair point.

If you want to try an hard rest try resting on a nail carpet. Just kidding, probably he meant hard reset (taking off batteries), but I do not think this will work in this case.

Regards

Replacing the operating batteries
The Organizer detects two low battery levels which are warning and fatal.
When the batteries is in warning level, the BATT symbol appears at the
display. In fatal level, the organizer will turn off automatically without
indication.
If the BATT symbol still appears or nothing is shown, replace both of the
operating batteries immediately.
1. Press OFF to turn off the Organizer.
2. Set the battery replacement switch on the bottom of the Organizer .
3. Slide off the operating batteries cover.
4. Remove the old batteries by pulling the ribbon tab.
5. Insert the two new batteries on top of the ribbon tab, taking care to
position them correctly according to the plus (+) and minus (–)
terminals, as shown below.
6. Replace the cover.
7. Set the battery replacement switch to NORMAL OPERATION.
8. Press the RESET switch with a ball-point pen or similar object.
If nothing appears on the display, repeat the above battery replacement
procedure step by step.
9. Set the clock to the correct time.

Hope this helps...........

Sharp OZ-730 sticky keys

I have a a Sharp yo-480. I've fixed sticky keys many times. I back-up data in the organizer first. (yo-480 doesn't have a flash memory) then carefully dissasemble unit. Lift out rubber keypad and use WD-40 to wipe circut board and keypad. It's the sticky residue that makes the keys stick
