I have a Kenmore Heavy Duty Extra Large Capacity Plus model 110, (16512690), Serial#3808455. It will not fill. When you start the machine it will make a buzzing noise as though an electric motor is trying to operate. If you fill it manually, it will do the same thing (same noise, no water) when the next fill cycle (rinse) should begin. I have removed the hoses and checked the screens at the fittings on the outside of the rear of the machine where they attach and they are completely clean. If you take the hose off the machine and operate it by filling it manually, it works perfectly otherwise (of course not very convenient). I have been doing laundry by filling it, starting it, listening for the machine to drain, filling it again and letting it finish. Really time consuming! Please help! Thank you in advance.

You have two water solenoid valves, one hot water and one for cold. If you switch the hot and cold water hose connections the washer may fill. If it does, the solenoid valve is defective, and you will need to order a new one and replace it. If you take off the back panel of the washer you can follow the hose to the solenoid which has wires connected to it. Did you stick a bucket under the water faucet to make sure water is actually coming out of the faucet when you turn it on?

Large Capacity Dryers | Whirlpool

Most standard dryers offer between 5.0 and 7.0 cubic feet of capacity. To help translate cubic footage into real-life laundry loads, consider that a 7.0 cu. ft. dryer can usually fit about 9-15 full-sized bath towels per load. Exact capacity varies by model so be sure to check the manufacturer's recommendations.

The problem is the pressure switch has failed or the hose is plugged up, has a hole in it. These are usually inexpensive and are very easy to replace. Here is a video this will walk you thru testing and replacing a pressure switch. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model.
