DRYER WONT START AT ALL.iS THERE A BREAKER THAT CAN BE RESET OR A FUSE BLOWN ?

Your dryer should be on it's own independent circuit in your breaker box.
Check that first.
If you are getting Panel lights, but it is not starting, then yes, there is a thermal fuse on the machine that may have failed.
If the panel lights are not lit - it is more likely to be the main controller board that has failed.

Dryer quit working - will not do anything when "start" button is pressed

It would help to have the model number. the model number is on the front panel that the door shuts to. Have you checked your breaker? If your breaker is fine and you are getting power to the machine write back with your model number and I will try to help.

Whirlpool Cabrio Electric Dryer - No Power

you have to send the model number off of the dryer, also if the dryer hasn't been taken apart and cleaned out also the vent line it could be clogged with lint and you could have popped the thermal fuse or something like that, you'll need a meter, unplug it take it apart and check the t-stats to see if one of them popped,or if it has a belt switch the belt could have broke but if you want to fix it send the model number and more info like any lights coming on but it won't start?if so then you know power is coming to the dryer but it won't start stuff like that.

Emerso Dyrer doesn't give heat

Your issue is;
"I have an Emerson electric dryer model # RED440SQ0. The dryer spins but there is no help. Thanks for any help. "

Based on the information provided above, I am unable to access my database to provide you with exacting information. An invalid model number was returned... However, I have provided some common solutions to help guide you in your search.
This information is for a generic brand dryer only!

My Solution is:

Following this link, http://www.repairclinic.com/SmartSearch/SmartSearch.aspx, provides valuable D.I.Y. safety information on the make and model number of your appliance. In order to access your product information, you will need to enter the model number stamped on the manufacturers product information data tag, located on the unit, and not in the User’s Manual.

Note: A volt-ohm meter is beneficial in performing electrical tests.

Temperature Switch; make sure a positive heat selection has been made, still no heat, then check these:

If your dryer doesn't heat, check these:

Power from the house
Heating element
Thermal fuse
Wiring
Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.

Heating element Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.

Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Wiring A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to

Whirlpool dryer stops after 5 minutes

Locate the circuit breaker for the dryer. Run the dryer for awhile and with the back of your finger pressed against each of the two switches (it will be a double breaker), see if the breaker is getting warm or wait until the dryer quits then check the breaker for any noticeable increase in temperature. With properly rated breakers, they should not get warm. If getting warm, it is a sign the breaker is bad and should be replaced.
