Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook
I purchased the above PC in Nov. 2006. My computer stopped recognizing CD-ROM after one year. After couple of months it started recognizing it without doing anything and was working for only few days and again stopped working. Because CD-ROM is not working, booting takes very long time. It waits for long time when TOSHIBA logo is on while booting. When CD-ROM started working for few days, booting was normal i.e. quick.
Please help me solve this problem. (Could it be loose connection inside and that is why it started working automatically for few days?)
Possible a loose connection, check to ensure you close the drive until a check is heard.check device manager to ensure device is listed and then go to its 'properties' ensure the current devis is recognized.you could also do a remove device, reboot, and have OS recognize a new device.clean the device with a lens cleaner.
