Are you sure about the model number, S716 doesn't come up. But it could be a bad motor, or it be a circuit board mounted by the motor.

Miele 228 power brush stopped working

Does the motor on the Head Run but the Brush does not turn... change the Belt, the brush head is operated by a rubber belt this is so it has no direct drive so if you suck up something then you ruin a belt and not the motor. Besides you should change the belt as per MFG directions. I change ours at Least 2 times a year and if you do.. say Pull in a Rug corner and it smells like Burnt Rubber? ... you just decreased your life of the Belt.... you'd be surprised on how well a New Belt helps your Vac pick up things. Change the bag often too, do not wait till it can pickup no more. The bag is Not meant to be FULL to be changed, besides it keeps Mites in the trash where they belong and not a breading ground in your closet... If you have a bag-less clean and rinse (All Filters Every Vac has a Filter even the Bag-Less ones) and let dry after a day of vacuuming follow MFG directions, Hope this helps.

Steam coming out of Miele S7000 upright vacuum cleaner

There is no steam generator on your Miele. It can only be smoke or dust. Are you certain it is steam. If you have sucked up water the motor could be in danger of shorting out.

Sucked up some debris with Kirby, now the motor is not running right.

1) see the diagram attached.
2) clean it
3) test the belt for broken or crack
4) motor can be faulty by enough pressure in the bearing and winding overheating repair or replace.

Is not sucking. Water comes out fine, but when the trigger is released, the water does not get sucked back.

Without more input from you, it is difficult to know what the problem is. Do you hear the vac motor wining ? If so, then ther is a clog in the passage or there is damage to the vac motor/impellor blade. If no sound from vac motor, well of course it will never ****-up the water. YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE IT TO A GOOD HANDY MAN OR AN APPLIANCE REPAIR/VAC REPAIR CENTER. Good luck, Macgivor

My bissell vacuum cleaner has stopped sucking things up as well as it was when I first purchased it two months ago. It also seems to be pushing more air out than it is sucking up.

with most vacuum cleaners the problem stems from carpet fuzz (especially in new carpet instalations) to build up of pet hair I have repaired several vacuum cleaners & my solution has use a shop vac if possible 15 amps or more clean the hose, check the belt(s) or if is not bagless make sure you have the proper fitting bag happy repair

Blue Moon Miele power head stops intermittantly

It is not a solid short. This is caused by static arcing in the wand and in the connectors from base to hose. I was able to fix mine by smearing some dialectric grease on all electrical parts in the wand(especially by the led switch) and in the three prong connectors at the base to hose. Have not had nay problems since doing this.

Water was sucked into Miele Vacuum

the motor is shot.they cant handle water. you are looking at a very expensive repair. miele parts are about the most expensive around. next time look at a panasonic, or riccar. or for a lifetime vac, look at the Metropolitan, made in the USA(around $400)

Shop Vac not working well

The only thing after the filter and bag is the motor. Do you have suction with the hose removed? If not then the hose is clogged. If you have some, then the motor is the problem.
