How i can see the qxd extension file

this is Quark Express file. So to view this file, you can use it.

You can download a trial version here--http://8.quark.com/evaluation.html

You can create a PDF file from a Quark document using Acrobat. The desktop version of Acrobat comes with Acrobat Distiller which can convert the Quark file to PDF.

According to the Adobe Create PDF Online web site (http://createpdf.adobe.com/index.pl), native Quark (qxd) files do not appear to be supported for online conversion. However, the service does support PostScript (.ps) files. If you can save your Quark file as a PostScript file, then you can use the Create PDF Online service.

Hope this helps.

That when i try to open my project it says that this document cannot be opened yby this version of Quark Xpress - please help!!

This is a version problem. Not sure what version you're using but you're going to have to go at least one version higher and save down. Quark's kind of a pain about this. If you're in 4 and you have a 7 file, you need to save it down from 7 to 6 to 5 to 4. It's not at all easy or convenient.

Cannot "save" quark 6.5 files, have to "save as" and rename

Have you tried the following

it could be that the file is locked go the file and single click on it go to the file menu and select get info. see if the file is locked, if it is unlock it

or do a "save as" in Quark and rename the file

it may be that when you have transferred your files that the permissions are not set properly. do the same as the file is locked above but look to see whether you are the owner and whether you have read write permissions. If you don't change or add yourself as the owner.

Hope this helps.

Need tutorial to make a 3 fold brochure in Qurak express 7 or 8

1. Go to: http://www.48hourprint.com/quarkxpress-templates.html
2. Scroll down to the BROCHURES Section.
3. On the 2nd item (Letter Tri-Fold) click on the file folder icon on the end.
It gives you a jpeg & png image file to place inside of Quark as a guide as well as instructions in a PDF file format.
Good luck!

Using Quark 6.5, can't import a pdf ver 1.5 (acrobat 6.x)

The PDF has probably been saved with the wrong compatibility verson.

Ask the originator of the PDF to create another version with Compatibility set to Acrobat 4.0 (PDF 1.3)
