Question about Yelo 800DVD DVD Player

1 Answer

Yel 800dvd I cannot get the unit to switch on. It's sitting showing an amber led and refuses to budge either via the remote or standby button. I seem to recall this is something to do with condensation but the units been installed for over 24 hours now

I have the same problem although I upgraded to a DVD Recorder 18 months ago and the Yelo 800 has been sitting in a box in a cupboard since then. It was only when I gave it to my parents this week, then plugged it in to their tv and found that the stanby button remains amber instead of red or green.

    Any ideas anyone?

Well I have a Yelo and the unit does do this sometimes.....it does sort itself out by switching off and pulling the plug out and leaving it for a minute or so....plug in and should be ok.....if not do the same again! I do not know why this happens but all in all the Yelo is a good unit...it just appears to have quirks! The plug out fix works for me!

Your dvd is locked to a region code so will only play dvd's for region it was made for.
good news is that you can unlock most dvd players to be region free.

2. Hold MAGIC button (or SET Button) until the led flashes twice.
3. Press 0, 5, 3 and 3 and the led flashes twice.
4. After that the URC can manage the recorder...check it
If not, then use the code search (have a look in the manual of the remote control).

Our Teac hdr2500t epg Guide stopped working showing only the programme times but not titles. This comes only a couple of days after it stopped allowing me to watch one programme while recording another...

Turn off the unit via the standby button on the remote and pick "passive standby". Next time you turn it on the epg will be back. The other option is to turn off the unit via the power switch at the rear of the unit.

Panasonic dmres30v unable to open dvd drawer led displaying u99 and cant remove

Press the power button on the main unit to switch the unit to standby. When the unit is in standby , press the power button again on the main unit to turn it on. If the unit doesn’t switch to standby, press and hold the power button on the main unit for about 10 seconds to forcibly switch it to standby.

To open the drawer, press and hold STOP and CH UP buttons on the main unit at the same time for about 5 seconds.

LG DVD Recorder- Clock settings Model RH277H

The clock settings will only be retained if you power down the unit via the On/Off button on the remote or on the unit i.e. put the unit into standby mode. If you switch off mains power the clock settings are lost as there is no backup battery in the unit. Power consumption on standby is negligible.
