Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

1 Answer

I own a panasonic TV model # CT34WX54J purchased in Dec of 2004. It has wooked great up until now. I had it unplugged for about a month and when I went to set it up again I plugged it in and the red light turned on then it shut itself off. I was able to force it on by pushing the power button in and holding it for a few seconds. What showed up on the screen was this: Self Check NB1.1.004-004.0 Memry TNR1 TNR2 Sound MTS AVSW1 AVSW2 EXDAC GC 3FM GC3F6 GC3I HDMI Copyright 2004 Panasonic AVC Networks de B.C. S.A.de C.V I am not able to do anything else. Is this fixable? Please help!

It could be fixable but I have a concern. Where was the unit stored while it was unplugged? If moisture was able to penetrate the unit then you may have a really big problem. I recommend contacting a local repairman. You can find one through the Repair Service lookup on FixYa.com.

I bought a Supersonic "13

By your description it is a high voltage problem, the horizontal output transistor is probably shorted and is loading the set down which would explain the constant clicking it is making. To repair this will more than likely run what you paid for the tv. But! if you decide to go ahead with the repair then an estimate would be in order because there may be other issues. My personal feeling would be to quit while you are ahead.

Panasonic plasma TV model TH-42PD60U won't turn on

I had this problem in 2007 / 2008 here is what happened to me. Jan 09, 2008 - I also have brought the unit to the authorized Panasonic repair facility and the problem is a failure in the P-board which is the power supply board. The P-board needs to be replaced. The repair will cost $475 plus tax. $250 is for labor. The unit was nop more than two months out of warranty. This does not speak well for Panasonic. I have been researching the problem and it looks like this has happened to many of the Panasonic plasma TVs.
Jun 14, 2008 - As an update to my problem with the failed P board. Contacted Panasonic Service and talked to a customer service representative. I told them how I have purchased many Panasonic products and how unhappy I was with the failure of the product. They proposed paying the labor cost of $250 and I would pay for the part. I just hope it does not happen again.

Watching dvd, great pictue and all of a sudden black out

7 Blinks is the failure of the SC/SU/SD PCB's (1 2 or 3 depending on how lucky/unlucky) you are.

Panasonic have a great warranty usually. Give them a ring, it has failed.

The flashing LED is the fault code.

Push the power button and the action button on the tv set until it shuts itself off and this will reset your tv. You cannot use the remote to reset...must use the actual tv buttons on the television set.

TH-42PX80U JUST TURNED ITSELF OFF

The 7 blinks indicates that a failure has happened within the Y main and the upper and lower y drive panels. I recommend you taking it in to a Service center for and evaluation.

Panasonic th-50pz80 10 flashing blinking red lights

The way to solve the problem with the TH-50PZ80U blinking light problem is to not buy Panasonic Products. I have had my TV about 21 months and it has started with the blinking light problem, just out of warranty. Panasonic is aware of this problem and refuses to do recall or fix the tv unless you are within the warranty or have bought the extended warranty. Legally they are within their rights, but I am also within my rights to air my complaint and inform others of this below par product. Who wants a TV that they have to unplug for a while and pug it in again for it to work. I want to push the power button and it come's on. I will never purchase another PANASONIC PRODUCT.

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

Tiny particles of dust on the light engine lens can cause this (and was a service call for me about a month ago), or possibly the expensive light engine.
