Question about Hotpoint Washing Machines
Turn it off, select rinse/spin and turn it on again.
This should at least enable you to remove the washing you've done and empty it.
If this doesn't work, there is a problem with the pump. This may be a jam, or it my need replacing.
If spinning does work, there may still be a problem with the heating element or control board.
Next wash, check that the water is actually heating.
If it is not, empty as before, and order a replacement element for it. If the water is not heated, the machine will wait indeffinately.
I hope this solves the problem for you. If it does, please rate it as Fixya! for other users to follow. If not, please contact here again for more problem solving advice. Thank you.
