Kitchenaid dryer drys fine the first load then it gets louder the next load then stops working

Sounds suspiciously like worn support roller shaft bearings. When they get bad sometimes the rollers just wobble on the shaft and eventually, if the dryer isn't shut down and repair quickly, the shafts will become severely worn and will need to be replaced as well as the rollers. It will most likely have to be disassembled before a good estimate can be made.

My dryer is about 7-8 years old. It has been taking longer to dry clothes for a little while now but within the last few days will not heat up. Spins fine, just no heat. Breakers are good.Any solutions?

Have you cleaned the blower vent pipes lately. Sounds like the vents may be stopped up with lint and it got too hot. Clean vents and where the fan blade is to be sure the fan can turn. I have found everything you can think of in the blower housing that would keep the fan from turning.Be sure and get the lint out they all have some. As far as the heat not working check all thermastats , the thermal fuse on blower box and thermal cutoff usely on the heater box. and the heater coil also check with an ohmeter from heater coil connections to the metal box it's in ,the coil could be grounded inside the box.
Hope this helps.

Dried a load fine, next load tumbles wont dry. still cant get heat

Hi,

Make sure front of dryer is not blocked, air flow is needed to dry.Check that the lint filter and exhaust duct is clean.

Check the blown fuses and home’s circuit breaker tripped. Dryer use 2 household Fuses or a circuit breakers, If one is blown, the dryer may still operate but not heat. Alternatively, the dryer may heat, but it may not heat up as hot as it should. Replace the Fuses or reset the circuit breaker.

Another common cause of a dryer failing to heat is a faulty Heating Element. You will need to replace it.

Good Luck and have a nice day.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

Gas dryer wont dry close

replace the gas valve coils. they sit right on top of the gas valve. they are black and round, and clide down over a shaft. remove screw from plate holding them, and slide them up and off, replace, and it will run....turn gas off while working on unit:)

Dryer is not heating air

Sounds like the heating element or coil is out, but it could also be the board to. At any rate, if your not getting any heat what so ever, its more than likely electrical and its best to take it in. If it gets some kind of heat, then you might try cleaning out your dryer vents really good, and also in the dryer. Hope this helps.

Dryer does not dry

any number of things actually, lets start with the basics, does it start at all just not dry???with a meter you can troubleshoot most problems right behind unit taking off back panel and checking the thermostats for continuity, the heater can also be checked right there , any one not having good continuity needs to replaced, perhaps after 3 loads it got too hot and overheated a thermo or the heating coil went bad
