it is either your inner or outter rear CV joint! replace drive axle assembly which is cheaper than replacing just the joint! sometimes repacking the joints helps but only sometimes

Cv axle interchange 2004 - 2005 polaris sporstman 400

The "upgrade" can be done but it ain't cheap! The outer hub has to be a 2005 for clearance of the CV joint and there are clearance problems around the front pumpkin. If you keep the angle to near stock, the knuckles are very reliable. Make them bend too far, with a lift kit and they will break.
For brakes: EBC Severe Duty FA159SV in the front and FA314SV in the rear

Replace rear axel inside boot on polaris 335 atv year 2000

you're gonna have to remove the axle from the bike. once doing so look at inside the axle where the shaft meets the bearing assembly and you will see a small circular wire holding the cage and ball bearing assembly in. once removed you wil be able to slide the boot onto the input shaft. reverse the order of taking the axle off and you should be good to go
