Ok, I fixed the memory card problem (hopefully) but now, I'll take a few pictures, turn the camera off, then turn it back on, and the pictures are gone. The computer won't detect the pictures either. Any ideas? Thanks. :)
I got an idea. Instead of reformating your card after your done importing them, copy them from your memory card to a folder on your hard drive. Delete the pictures. Whatever format you are using in Widows to reformat your card with isn't compatible with your camera. If you need to reformat your card just use the camera.

Thats odd. I would take it into a camera and have them look at it. Kodak has a good warranty on their stuff. And see if the card reader in the camera is working or if there is something else wrong with it.
It needs some eyes to look at it.

Set the phone to store pictures on the card. Tap the camera icon to bring up the camera, then tap the gear to bring up the setting menu. Tap the down-arrow, then tap "Select Storage" to switch between camera and memory card. Tap "OK" when done.
No not at all. All phones, all cameras come with a limited amount of memory to allow you to take a few pictures. Did you buy this used? If so toto view all pictures/view pictures and delete a few to free up memory. This way you can be certain it's not the camera that's defective. If it works then of course you'll need a memory card so you don't have to keep running to your computer to upload your shots to free up memory.hope this helps
There is a tab on the memory card so you will you need to remove it from the camera and change the position of this tab to "unlock" it. DO NOT format the card until you've BACKED UP your files from it (typically to a PC or USB drive (stick or external hard drive).
Go to the "Menu", then in the green arrow (pointing right) go down to "copy" and then make sure the "IN-->SD is highlighted, and hit the menu again. It'll come up saying "Copy pictures from Built-in Memory to Memory Card? Yes/No...highlight "yes" by hitting the up arrow on the side (above the "menu" button which is in the center, hit the one above the round button there), and it'll say "Please wait, with an hourglass turning as it copies the pics to the card. Then it'll say "pictures copied" and return you to the main listing of pictures. Hope that helps
Hi, Follow the steps to move your pictures on your PC. 1- Turn on camera. 2- Press Menu. 3- Go to Memory Stick Tool 4- Copy and select OK. 5- All the pictures on the camera will be copied at memory stick. 6- Turn off the camera. 7- Insert your memory stick in any card reader. 8- Connect your card reader with your PC. 9- Copy all the data from memory card to PC. And the job is done. Hope this will help you. Thanks.
Your problem is very simple to fix :) if you follow the steps I'm giving you below. First, i have to ask you, the memory card you put in it, was it a new one? Most likely not and it most likely had some pictures on it. When you put a used memory card in a new camera, the camera sometimes doesn't recognize the format on it and it responds by shutting off. What you need to do is follow these simple steps:
1. Save all you pictures from the card on your computer (if you have any) 2. Turn the camera ON and press Menu then go to the settings tab that has a wrench and hammer symbol. 3. Go all the way down to Format... (make sure your memory card is in the camera) 4. Hit the right 2 times till OK is highlighted orange. 5. Press SET then highlight OK again. 6. Now turn the camera OFF and back ON. Try taking 2 or 3 pictures and try to scroll through them.
Your camera should not turn off anymore, the reason being because the camera built its own data on the card and is now recognizing the entire card, not just part of it. It's recommended that you don't switch memory cards between cameras and if you do, make sure you format the card. Good luck!
You'll have to use a card reader. Despite the name, a card reader also lets you write to the card. Be aware that if the pictures were taken on a different type camera, or if you've done any editing on them, you probably won't be able to view them on the camera.
Basically, there is no settings for picture storage on your camera.
Once you took pictures WITHOUT a memory card, all pictures taken will automatically be saved on the INTERNAL MEMORY of the camera.
When taking pictures WITH a memory card, all pictures are just saved on the memory card itself.
*** If you want to transfer pictures on the internal memory of the camera to your MEMORY CARD, you just have to follow the steps below:
- Make sure there is a memory card inside the camera - Turn on camera - Press on PLAY mode button to view pictures - Press MENU/OK button - Keep scrolling to the right until you see COPY TO CARD - Select YES using the arrow keys - Press MENU/OK to confirm
* When you've done these steps, all pictures from the INTERNAL MEMORY of the camera will be copied to your MEMORY CARD but it depends on the space left on your memory card

If you are seeing 100-757 on the LCD screen. It means that there are already 757 pictures taken from the first time you've used the camera.
It is possible that some of the pictures are in the internal memory and some are in the memory card.
STEPS to DOUBLE CHECK:
1) Remove memory card out of the camera - Turn on camera - View pictures on the internal memory by just pressing on the PLAY mode button
(lowest of the 3 little buttons) - Pictures seen are just the ones saved on the internal memory
2) Return memory card back in the camera - Turn on camera - View pictures on the internal memory by just pressing on the PLAY mode button (

** If still, you could not view the pictures, it's possible that the pictures are really gone when you have transferred the previous pictures to your computer.
** Once you have transferred pictures to your PC, and you have deleted those on your camera, the FILE NAME of the pictures will not start from 100-001 again unless you have reset the file name on the settings of your camera.
In example, i already have 256 pictures on my camera so the filename reads 100-256 for the last picture taken. And then i decided to transfer those 256 pictures to my PC and i deleted those immediately after being transferred. So, as i took another picture, FILENAME will start with 100-257 if i have not reset the FILE NAME settings to 100-001.
my memory card is a SD 1GB kodak.
the thing is, i can't even import them. as soon as i turn off the camera, the pictures delete.
