SOURCE: drilling a composit sink for a 4 hole faucet
If is real granite you will need diamond tipped coring bits, if it is a composite then quality hole saws and/or drills will work. Slow and cold is the rule here, do not force the tool and you should be fine.

SOURCE: how do I repair a granite composite sink?
I recommend one minute epoxy, available at home depot, lowes, and hardware. it will leave a hairline crack but it will hold like iron

Us a clear sanitary grade silicone
The Plumbers putty will do the trick but it needs cleaning off very carefully where as the clear silicone blends

It depends. If it's very new still then I would return it.
If you've had it for a long time then I would try various glass cleaners...nothing gritty as this will damage the finish. If it's very old you could also try automotive finishing compounds to return it to it's original lustre. Follow the directions on the packaging and use a buffer.
Hope this helps.

Not only would metallic epoxy look unsightly, it won't work. If it is cracks, I have bad news for you. Sorry, but you need a new sink. The "metallic epoxy" will not withstand the weight of a garbage disposal and you will have real issues when it fall through. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
