Question about SanDisk 1GB Cruzer Titanium USB Flash Drive (413072) Hard Drive

5 Answers

Lost files during Sandisk update of cruzer 1.0 GB to work with VISTA.

I have a Cruzer Micro 1.0 GB. I bought a new laptop with Vista and Cruzer was not recognized. I learned that Sandisk was working on an update. Months later, I tried the update and in the process lost all my files on the Sandisk even though there was no warning that I might lose all the files. Is there anyway to recover those files? Thank you.

You can recover lost files from sandisk Cruzer with card recovery software, recommended asoftech data recovery as it's one of the best data recovery software.

Yes, there are some data recovery software can recover lost, deleted and formatted data from computer, hard drive and USB flash drive. I had recovered some lost files from externalhard drive with Tenorshare Data Recovery. You can give it a shot!

OK! Have you put these updated files all on the same computer drive of these lost files?
If you have, part of your original files must be overwritten and gone permanently.
But, no matter whether you've overwritten with them or not, you also can take chances with a drive data recovery freeware:

This drive data recovery freeware always can deeply scan your computer drive and restore your wanted data back perfectly.
Next time, you should never forget to back up all you wanted data on separate drives.

Yes, there is a way. But it means either buying a $100+ Software package or sending your drive to us to have us do the recovery. The package we use is GetDataBack for FAT. You can download a hobbled version and it will show you if you have recoverable files. If you would rather have us do this, the cost is $40 + shipping.

SanDisk Micro Cruzer reduced from 2.0 GB to 1.0 MB when reformated

Make sure you check to see if the File System is FAT32 instead of FAT or NTFS, this way you can have your 2GB back.
Try reformatting using FAT32.

Is the account that your tying to access the drive with an Administrator account? If not, Log in as Administrator and try to access the new drive. If you ARE using Administrator privileges on the vista machine, the problem lies in the U3 smart driver. Try downloading and installing the drivers for the XP SP2 os on scan disks website, If vista rejects the install package off of the scan disk website, let me know and i'll extract the drivers and build an install for them for you.

Vista has not been out long enough for any company to state that there product is compatible. I would check there website to see if they have updated drivers that will make the sandisk usb drive compatible. This may fix the problem!
