Where can I purchase the cable to connect my dvd player to my tv..I need the one that has a pin on one end and a white/yellow on the other

Hello hyegee -- You could probably get one directly from the manufacturer at a way over the top price. The cheapest and easiest thing to do is to get two generic cables at any store that carries electronic accessories.

For audio you need a stereo 3.5 mm male to stereo RCA jacks male cable. For video you need a simple 3.5 mm video male to RCA jack male video.

Here is the graphic from the user manual. Yours new cables would hook up the same but just be two instead of one cable:

What channel do I set the TV on so that the dvd will play

Hi,
Hook audio/ video cable from dvd player to AV input of tv and select that AV input in tv to watch dvd playback picture.
You will see yellow jack (for video signal output) and red-white jacks (for audio left-right output signal) at rear of dvd player, plug AV Cable and hook it in AV input of tv, make sure yellow pin connected in yellow jacks of dvd and tv.
Thanks.

Where can I purchase the Audio Video Connection for my dvd player I want to hook it up to my TV but can't find the correct cable Thank you Sandy

For the COBY TF-DVD7500, the video is carried on a single RCA plug cable. You can make due with a composite video cable (with three RCA plugs on each end) or get an RCA cable. The audio output can either be digital audio (which uses a special coax cable) or a headphone connector (analog audio).I believe the headphone jack is a 3.5 mm connector. If you use a composite video cable to your TV, you can connect the red and white plugs to an adapter (3.5 mm M to 2 RCA F). Then the TV speakers will get the audio track; otherwise you can use the DVD player speakers or the digital audio out.

I hope this helps.

Why original DVDs appear in Black and white only when palyed on the Sony DVP-NS57P player?

Usually, when you get a black and white version of the film, either the cable connection is messed up or the dvd signal and the tuner are mismatched (say NTSC TV getting a PAL signal from the dvd).

The cable mismatch would be connecting composite video output (using the AV cable that came with the unit) to one of the three video jacks of the component video input on the TV. The obvious first thing to check is that the cables are good and in the correct configuration (yellow to yellow for composite or red, green and blue to red, green and blue). Try a new cable in case there is a damaged cable, particularly with a component video cable.

The tuner mismatch is more common with the handheld dvd players.

I hope this helps.

I am wanting to connect my portable wharfdale dvd player to a tv. where can i get the right connection cable. thanks

Usually somewhere like radio Shack will have those cables, they are called AV, Audio Visual Cables, You need 3 Cables, with "Male Jacks" at both ends, usually Red & White, (The Audio), & Yellow, (Video). They connect color to color at each end, and on the TV you select "Aux", "Extern", but NOT a channel. If you have "Component Video, then you will need a set of 3 & 2 cables, (5 all together) Blue, Red, Green, ALL Video, & White & Red, Audio. you select the "Input" on the TV the same as for AV. So with AV, you use 3 cables, with Component, you use 5. If HDMI you need a single HDMI cable. cables.

Need to hook up to tv

use the colored lead (RC) cables to connect from dvd player to your tv, it is color coded so you cant go wrong, then select av on the tv to watch dvd, if it can connect to tv with rc cable then you will need an adapter to connect dvd through antenna jack ok

Connecting portable dvd player to tv

Hi,
You should be able to connect the portable DVD player to the TV using an audio/video (AV) cable. The type of A/V cable you need depends on the receptacles on the DVD and the TV. Some older units have only one jack for audio and one for video. Newer units have one jack for video and two for audio. Matching the color coding of the cable, plug one end into the A/V out jacks on the DVD player and the other end into the A/V in jacks on the TV. I hope this solves your problem.

Phillips television with av connections

that TV has no AV connection jacks. look for a converter AV to RF. the vedio and audio from your DVD player will be connected on the vedio/ audio IN and let your RF out go to a TV on RF IN, this will solve your problem. thanks

MDP-1815: can't get video on external TV using AV-Out

The AV is actually the yellow jack.
Just plug that in.
If it don't come up then you have to enable it in display options.
How you do that is click on the center of the laptop screen when the menu appears goto properties and then advanced you will see the settings.
Happy Holiday

Go to Radio Shack.  You're going to need an IPod dock that has video playback capability, an av cable with the three av outputs.  Then you will need a mini jack cable that plugs into the video and another mini jack stereo cable for the sound.  You made need a coupler as well.
They only make home cables for Ipod systems.  The other wires will convert the home cables for portable DVD use.
