It does not have wireless adapter, you can confirm the specs here
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00260857
although you can install an USB wireless adapter.
hope it helps, if so do rate the solution

I can't get it to work.

To view the wireless network connection dialog box, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, Run, and type ncpa.cpl, and then click Ok.
  2. Right-click the Wireless Network Connection icon, and then choose Properties. (Or you can right click the Wireless Network Connection icon and choose View Available Wireless Networks from the shortcut menu.)
  3. Click the Wireless Networks tab.
  4. Under Available networks, click the View Wireless Networks button.
From the wireless network dialog box, you can refresh the network list. This performs another scan of wireless networks within range. The wireless network connection dialog displays the following for each detected network. The following shows the new connection box.

When the wireless network adapter displays the detected networks, you'll able to select a wireless network name and attempt to connect to it. The antenna icon indicates an infrastructure mode wireless network. The icon that shows two wireless client computers indicates an ad hoc wireless connection.

The lock icon and the "Security-enabled wireless network" label indicate that the wireless network has security enabled. The gold lock means you need a network key in order for you to connect to a wireless network. If it's not security enabled, you'll be able to connect to the network without a network key.

Lost the wireless icon and switch is always in yellow

HP and Compaq have several models with issues regarding startup and also losing the wireless adapter. They are offering one time fixes for free even if out of warranty. Go to their web page and go to the support page and start a live chat to get this resolved. My wife has the same model with the starup problem. We contacted them about 3 days ago and just got the shipping box. Give it a try and good luck

IT DOESNT WORK OUT

Sounds like your wireless is disabled.

If your using windows xp, check the following.
Go to your start menu
go to your control panel (might be under settings, might not.)
from control panel, if it says "Choose a Category" click switch to classic view.
open your Network Connections Icon.
If "Wireless Network Connection" is grayed out, right click it and choose, "Enable."

In Windows Vista
Go to the bottom right hand corner of your screen to the icons.
Right click on the double monitors (network connection)
Select Network and Sharing Center
Click on Open Network Connections
If "Wireless Network Connections:" is grayed out, right click it and choose, "Enable."

If it is enabled, and you already have wireless built in to your laptop, then it's possible the wrong wireless card is enabled. If this is the case, when you open your network connections, you will have two Wireless Network Connection Icons.
A Wireless Network Connection, and a Wireless Network Connection 2. Make sure 2 is enabled, and the first one without a number is disabled.

Let me know if this helps.
