Question about Miele Dishwashers

2 Answers

We have a miele G665 SC dishwasher. Cycle is fine but when it starts drying water now comes out of the vent on the front of the machine where previously all we'd get was hot air. It creates quite a puddle of water so it's not just the hot air condensating it's more than that. Hope you can help. Regards Paul

Cleaned pipe again and seems to be OK for now - seems to be a bit of an issue with this model as this is the second time this has happened!

There is an internal drain tube between the turbothermic vent and the detergent dispenser. It's clogged.

Does the Miele G665 dishwashers have a heat element as no heat is coming from my dishwasher

If it like other Mieles, it has an element to heat water if required to reach cleaning temperature, but does not have a drying element. Even then, it should give off some heat in the drying cycle and be hot after finishing.

Miele g665 leaking water from turbothermic vent

I had this happen too. There is a rubber venting tube which runs from the vent on the door to the rinse/powder release pods. This clogs up and the water then comes out when the door opens. If you take off the front panel of the machine (screws are on the sides) it is easy to take off and clean out by running hot water through it, also clean out the line through the release pods .. problem should be solved.

My miele G665 SC is not draining all the waste water away at the end of the cycle, i've taken the filter part out of the bottom and it's all clear and even run a cycle without it, is there another filter...

Check for any kinked hoses and check the drain spigot under the sink where the drain hose connects into the u bend. Usually this is where food gets trapped due to the spigot not being drilled out large enough. This then causes a blockage. Also check the non return valve under the filter and make sure the drain pump can turn freely.
Hope this helps.

Drying cycle problems

Take the door fascia off, and you'll see a pipe from the steam outlet to the Soap Dispenser in the door.
Take that off, and flush out the small bit of food that is blocking the tube.
Put the cleared pipe back in situ.
Run machine, you should get steam, and no water.
When it blocks again, and you get the water again, repeat unblocking process etc...

G665 miele

Hi, I was having the same problem but with a G572 (that's about 10 years old) though this might help you still as i believe they're all built fairly similarly.

My problem is I would start the cycle and I could hear the motor in the pump turning however no water would enter the machine.

Open the front door and look at the sprinkler on the base. Underneath it is a small tower (about 3cm high) and it has a cap on top of it. Take the cap off (mine just pulled off) and clear any grime that has built up inside of it. Now try to use the machine. (while I was clearing the grime I could actually hear something neutralise, as if there was air pressured up behind the grime).

I hope this works for you.

Peter,

where is the water coming out at? Are you using the proper detergent? if the machine is too full of water and a fill float valve is stuck open, water sometimes overflows.

Check to make sure the fill valve is working, then check to make sure pump is operating. (you will know when you turn the machine onto the rinse cycle.)
