There's an error message that appears that says some parts of the printer need maintenance. If our suspicions are correct and it is the inkpad, what do we do to solve it? Can anybody just fix this or should we ask the technician of our ink supplier to do it? Since we've converted it to CISS we are a bit apprehensive to "dismantle" the printer. Do you have a step-by-step process you can give us on how to resolve the inkpad problem?
First of all, do you have an external wasted ink tank? If you have one, you don't need to worries. All you have to do is find a resetter for counter waste ink and problem will solve nicely.
Second, if you don't have that, you should bring to the epson service centre to fix and change that inkpad inside the printer. Otherwise, it will troublesome things to handle cause the ink will leek and hit the mainboard of ur printer.

Hi Good day!! is there any error message? or Blinking orange/red in your printer? if no errors try to restart your printer spooler. Follow this method: 1. Turn off your printer and then trun it back on see your printer status if it is online and ready. 2. Click "Start" 3. Click "Setting" 4. Click "Control Panel" 5. Choose "Performance and Maintenance" 6. Click "Administrative tools" 7. Click "Services" now you should be on Services box 8. in Services box find "Print Spooler" Click it and then click "stop" at the upper left of the box and then start it again.. hope it works now..
Yep chances are there is a problem with the hardware itself. On the computer where you have it connected directly, did you get an error message? if you did then it talks about part at the end of service life then that is the inkpad you are having a problem with, but if there is no error message that popped up on the computer then there might be a problem on the mainboard, call epson so that they can give you a discount if you are going to buy one from them again. you can reach them at 562-276-4382. Thanks for using Fixya!
