I have the same problem, initially no power at all, replaced 14 capacitors on PSB. Now I get a click and the green light comes on but can't get a picture or sound. Every ten seconds or so, there is a click from the tv, like a hard drive trying to start?

sounds to me like power supply.............can you check that all the caps are fitted right way round ? the pcb does show how they should be fitted.........also check for dry solder joint......

    cheers

  • melhadfield Mar 24, 2011

Spot on pjhislay1 two of the caps wrong way round, one dry joint. Sorted that out and powered up, backlight came on, then got "no signal" message. Went into menu and retuned chanels and now everything working perfect. The only thing I can't get to work at the moment is Sky from the hdmi lead but it probably just needs tuning.
    Many thanks for the help.
    Cheers

My LG 32LD320 won't turn on. I have no standby light and have even tried changing the fuse. Help please!

If total dead best way is to follow the AC voltage from power cord inside the set to see where voltage is lost.

Also , were you having any problems having to turn set on several times to get it on?

We have an LG 32LX2R-ZE. We have no sound, but the picture (Virgin Cable) connection is fine as is our Internet. I've checked all the leads and, no, neither the TV or the Virgin box are on mute!. Any...

I had the same problem and after buying loads of different cables came to the conclusion that the HDMI input on the TV was at fault. Bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut but I upgraded my home cinema amp to one that had HDMI in/out and now I put the sound through that and use the TV as a panel with volume turned to zero.

I have a LG 32LX2R-ZE flat screen LCD TV, We've recently had a power cut and the TV doesn't seem to work, Cable is okay but there is no power getting to the TV. I havn't got the manual and i've heard that...

Hi,
I used to be a TV engineer many years ago, and I do not profess to know much about flat screen TV's.
I have just been asked to look at one of these which has suffered the same fate as yours.
It does have an internal fuse, but it is not a "normal" household fuse, it is a component fuse and you will need to be able to solder and de-solder to be able to fit one.
That said, the TV I have here, the fuse is OK, if I disconnect the PSU from the main board, the standby +5V recovers, suggesting the PSU is operational. Connect it back up and it drops, something is shorting out the +5v, which is why it will not switch on.
Without a diagram, this has become very frustrating, and Ithink I am going to have to give up,
Sorry it's not good news people!

Cheers
Shaun
