How to Play While Charging

I have yet to figure out how to play the Pilot while plugged into the PC. I've tried everything including the Charger Settings in the USB Settings menu which don't seem to do anything.

Is this possible?

That's too bad. That means that when I take this to work and my battery runs out, I have no choice but to plug it in to charge and wait to use it again until it charges up.

I was hoping that was what the Charger Settings was for. Can you explain the difference between the 3 options? The manual doesn't say much and has it wrong as one is says "Always Play" when the player instead says "Always Pause". I haven't been able to figure out what exactly they do nor the difference.

    Thanks.

You cannot play it from the device while it is plugged into the computer - you must use outside software like windows Media Player to read the device and then play the songs from the computer itself

You can keep the Sansa plugged in without fear of overcharging. The Sansa will play while it is connected to a USB port that is supplying only power, such as a USB charger operating off a car cigarette lighter. It will not play while connected to a computer.

I charge the MP3 player and it still shows "low battery" message.

There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It won't charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here's what to do...
1. plug the player into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch the player on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.
That is if the battery is still chargeable after all this time. The battery may well require replacing.

My Archos 604 wifi only play a few minutes after charging.. I have used the dvr, usb and wall charger and nothing helps.. is my battery kaput? also since messing with it the touchscreen isn't working......

Hi,
it must be the battery..While charging is pilot lamp lightning ?
To verify, just plug the USB cable to see if device battery charging circuit is working..Device should work normally..
If it does, either your battery is dead or its charger needs to be changed.

Audio is messed up!

First, make sure you didn't download an instrumental.
Second, make sure the files are in a format that the player recognizes.
If both conditions hold, then upgrade the firmware - you have a corrupt DB.

If the light is flashing, that means it's charging, but it's possible you're not getting enough charging current to really make a difference.
I would try charging the player with a wall charger (can you borrow a charger from a friend?)

My apple ipod wont play

It sounds like the battery is fried. That's the same thing that happened to mine. I had to take it to the Apple store, had them look at it, and they actually exchanged it for a refurbished iPod. There's not much you can do at home, unless you want to order a new battery from Apple. I would still recommend having them install it.

It dosent even charge!!

Are you sure it's not charging? What makes you think it's not charging? When you plug the USB cord in (and it's attached to the charger or the PC)a screen should appear temporarily. It shows a picture of a PC with a usb cable coming out of it. Are you not even seeing that much? Remember that this is a no-name Chinese player, so don't expect iPod or iRiver quality. I didn't think mine turned on, but that's because the on/off switch was sticky and because you need to press play once or twice after it's turned on to get it to do anything. But so far, mine's working fine.
