Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Integra DTR 5.8 --- NO Audio.

No audio at all. You can hear a little bit of static on the speakers. When you turn up the volume one or more of the speakers will make a low db popping. Test tone will not even come thru. I checked 5 fuses inside the recevier. All where good. Where do I go from there? All video inputs seem to be fine. OSD works. Thanks in advance for any help.

SOURCE: No OSD on TV connected thru composite video (Monitor Out)

for the tx-sr606, the onscreen display will only show up when you connect the receiver using HDMI out to your tv. this is indicated on page 22 of the user manual.. hope this helps.. ^_^

SOURCE: Low to no volume output from Integra DTR-5.2 receiver

most higher end integra's have a input level adjusment or input selection for each and every input. Perhaps you are not on the correct input, go to onscreen programming and check out the input level and input select - also try the tape in another input like tape 2 or cd. It will not hurt the receiver for a test. Also, if you are using the cheap cables from the manufacturer - try a pair of cables that you know work or go by some. BTW, you don't need to spend $40 for cables order them online through amazon or other store. Gold / sliver plated oxygen free are best.

SOURCE: the reciver dosnt get a signal from the hdmi

HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. omg. maybe there is help. will get audio but no video from DPS dvd player and PS3. no onscreen menu either. changed hdmi cord. seems to be problem with reciever. DVD works fine when changing to component cables instead of the HDMI. sometimes plugging and unplugging the HDMI cable gets the PS3 working. Don't quite understand scrap605's suggestion. but that doesn't solve this prob.

SOURCE: We hooked up our Integra

Hello

The DTR-5.2 contains an internal microcomputer that performs
high-level operations
Reset the device to its factory settings. Before doing that check the following 2 items.

[1] Input selector may not set properly.
Set to correct input source

[2] Headphones are connected.
Lower volume and then disconnect headphones

To reset it to factory settings:
To reset the surround mode and other settings to the factory

default settings, hold down the Preset Memory button with the

DTR-5.2 turned on and then press the Standby/On button.

"CLEAR" appears in the front display and the DTR-5.2 enters
the standby state.
If this also does not help; service is necessary to your set. Contact nearest Integra/Onkyo authorised service center. This is not any component fault. A service only necessary. OK.

I am not getting any audio (sound) out of my Integra DTR 4.6. Any suggestions?

Does the vu meter show anything(bars moving up and down when audio is present? If so you may have a blown fuse or bad IC in the amplifier section causing the problem. If there is no indication of audio on the front panel it would be a Microprocessor problem

You may have an over heating problem as it the Integra has anautomatic cut out. The unit generates a huge amount of heat and needs to be positioned in a very well ventilated position.
