No OS mentioned but this should work. Got into Control Panel/User Accounts and delete[yes Delete] all presently identified accounts. reboot. now go into User Account and do a new one.

Also, you did not mention if you are sole Administrator--ensure you have the privileges and are not a sub-account user with limited privileges.

Shaw webmail login

Now which email account is it ?.
hotmail , yahoo , msn , outlook , live mail ,gmail ?.
It is not uncommon for users to forget their user names and passwords, especially when trying to access an email account not often used.
Email providers like Yahoo! and Google are aware that users forget and have implemented a way to identify the user in this situation. In order to use this retrieval method, you must have submitted an alternate email address when you signed up for that email.

Go to the email sign-in page.
Notice the option underneath the login fields for users that have trouble signing in; in Yahoo! Mail this option is "I forgot my Yahoo! ID" and in Google Gmail this option is "Can't Access Your Account."
Click this option.
Enter the alternate email address entered when you set up up your email address.
Yahoo! Mail users also need to enter the birth date, country and postal code entered when the email address was set up. Click "Next."

Log in to your alternative email address and click the email provided.
Your email user name is available in the body of the email.
Click the link within that email to reset your email password.
To reset your email password, the provider might require that you answer your security question.

Go back to the email sign-in page and log in using your user name and new password.

How to create a password recovery disk

How to create a password reset disk
To create a password reset disk for your local user account, use one of the following methods.

Requirements
The following methods require one blank, formatted floppy disk.

Use a computer administrator account
If you logged on to the computer by using an administrator account, follow these steps to create a password reset disk for a user account:
  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, click User Accounts.
  3. In the User Accounts pane, click the account that you want to work with.
  4. Under Related Tasks, click Prevent a forgotten password to start the Forgotten Password Wizard, and then click Next.
  5. Insert a blank, formatted disk into drive A, and then click Next.
  6. In the Current user account password box, type the password for the user account that you chose in step 3, and then click Next.

Note If the user account does not have a password, do not type a password in the Current user account password box.

The Forgotten Password Wizard creates the disk.
  7. When the Progress bar reaches 100% complete, click Next, and then click Finish.
  8. Remove and then label the password reset disk. Store the disk in a safe place.
Use a limited account
If you logged on to the computer by using a limited account, follow these steps to create a password reset disk for your user account:
  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Under Pick a category, click User Accounts.
  3. Under Related Tasks, click Prevent a forgotten password to start the Forgotten Password Wizard.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Insert a blank, formatted disk into drive A, and then click Next.
  6. In the Current user account password box, type your password, and then click Next.

Note If your user account does not have a password, do not type a password in the Current user account password box.

The Forgotten Password Wizard creates the disk.
  7. When the Progress bar reaches 100% complete, click Next, and then click Finish.
  8. Remove and then label the password reset disk. Store the disk in a safe place.
How to log on to the computer by using a password reset disk
If you forget your password, you can log on to the computer by using a new password that you create by using the Password Reset Wizard and your password reset disk. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Windows XP logon screen, click the user name that you want to use. The Type your password box appears. Press ENTER or click the right-arrow button. You receive the following error message: Did you forget your password?
You can click the "?" button to see your password hint.
Or you can use your password reset disk.

    Please type your password again.
Be sure to use the correct uppercase and lowercase letters.
  2. Click use your password reset disk. The Password Reset Wizard starts. The Password Reset Wizard permits you to create a new password for your user account.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Insert the password reset disk into drive A, and then click Next.
  5. Type a new password in the Type a new password box.
  6. Type the same password in the Type the password again to confirm box.
  7. In the Type a new password hint box, type a hint to remind you of your password if you forget the new password.

Note This hint is visible to anyone who tries to log on to the computer by using your user account.
  8. Click Next, and then click Finish. The Password Reset Wizard quits, and you return to the Windows XP logon screen.

Note The password reset disk is automatically updated with the new password information. You do not have to create a new password reset disk.
  9. Type your new password in the Type your password box, and then click the right-arrow button to log on to the computer.
Troubleshooting
  • The password reset disk cannot be used to reset the password on another computer.

The password reset disk that you create can only be used with the computer it was created on. For example, if you have two Windows XP-based computers that have the same user names and passwords, a password reset disk that you create on the first computer cannot be used to reset the password on the second computer.
  • The password reset disk contains sensitive information.

Other users may be able to use the password reset disk to gain access to your computer. For this reason, store this disk in a safe and secure location.

How to Password Protect your Windows 7?

Is you computer safe enough? Does your <b>Windows 7 ask for a login password</b> when you start your PC? It should. If not, a logon password must be created as soon as possible. This article will tell you how to make a user login password on Win7. It is easy and usually takes less than a few minutes<br /> It is a big security concern if you do not <a href="http://www.windows7password.net/create-windows-7-logon-password/"><b>have a Windows 7 logon password</b></a>. Without a password, anyone in your office or home has full and unrestricted access to everything on your PC. Fortunately, creating a <b>new Windows 7 login password</b> is very simple.<br /> <b>Note:</b> If you're trying to <b>create a new Windows 7 user password</b> because you've forgotten yours and can't get in to Win7, see <a href="http://www.windows7password.net/forgot-windows-7-password/"><b>how to recover a forgotten Windows 7 Password</b></a>.<br /> Follow the steps below to create a password for your Windows 7 User account: Here's How: <b>1</b>. Click on <b>'Start</b>' and then '<b>Control Panel</b>'.<br /><img src="start-control-panel-windows7.jpg" /> <b>2</b>. Click on the '<b>User Accounts and Family Safety'</b> link.<br /><img src="user-accounts-and-family-safety.jpg" /> <b>Note:</b> If you're viewing the Large icons or Small icons view of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply click on the <b>User Accounts icon</b> and proceed to Step 4. In my computer, my win7 user name is Andy. So I click its icon.<br /><img src="click-on-user-accounts-icon-windows7.jpg" /> <b>3</b>. Click <b>'change your windows password'</b> on the <b>'User Accounts'</b> area.<br /><img src="change-your-windows-7-password.jpg" /> <b>4</b>. In the '<b>Make changes to your user account</b>' area of the User Accounts window, click the '<b>Create a password for your account'</b> link.<br /><img src="create-a-password-for-your-windows7-account.jpg" /> <b>5</b>. In the first two asterisk text boxes, enter the password you want to start using. Entering the password twice helps to make sure that you typed your new logon password correctly.<br /> In this example I use my birthday as my logon password. But I advise you not to use your birthday as a new password because it is easy to guess. You should <a href="http://www.windows7password.net/create-a-strong-password/"><b>create a strong password</b></a>.<br /><img src="create-a-new-windows-7-logon-password.jpg" /> <b>6</b>. In the final text box, you're asked to Type a <a href="http://www.windows7password.net/windows-7-logon-password-hint/"><b>password hint</b></a>. This step is optional but I highly recommend that you use it. If you try logging in to Windows 7 but enter the wrong password, this hint will pop up, hopefully jogging your memory.<br /> <b>7</b>. Click the <b>'Create password'</b> button to confirm your new password.<br /> <b>8</b>. After creating a new password, you will be returned to the User Accounts window. Now you can see the user account 'Andy' has been <a href="http://www.windows7password.net/create-password-to-protect-your-user-account-on-windows-7-beta/"><b>password protected</b></a>.<br /><a href="http://www.windows7password.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/user-password-protected-windows-7-big.jpg"><img src="user-password-protected-windows-7.jpg" /></a><br /><br /> <b>9</b>. Now that your Windows 7 account has a password setup, you must use this password to log on to Windows 7 from this point forward.<br /> <b>Tips:</b> You may want to know How to <a href="http://www.windows7password.net/automatically-login-windows-7-without-typing-user-password/">Automatically Login Windows 7 Without Typing User Password</a>.<br /> <b><img src="create-a-windows-7-password-reset-disk.jpg" />10</b>. <b>Create a Windows 7 password reset disk</b>. While not a required part of creating a new password, I highly recommend that you do this. A password reset disk will protect you from the consequences of forgetting your new Windows 7 password. If you <a href="http://www.windows7password.net/forgot-windows-7-password/"><b>lost Windows 7 account password</b></a> and you don't have created a password reset disk, you can use <a href="http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com/"><b>this efficient and safe tool</b></a>.<br /> Tips: Not a Windows 7 user? Acer Aspire M1100 Desktop - lost password, can't login in User Login. Is there a way to bypass the password?

If you're having trouble logging into Windows, you can attempt to use the Administrator account to edit/remove the password of the user login. The Administrator account is hidden by default while in normal mode. You'll need to boot the PC into Safe Mode and login as the Administrator account. Follow the below steps:

  1. Reboot the PC and before the Windows boot screen appears, tap the F8 key about once per second.
  2. Eventually you'll be faced with a screen asking you how you want to boot Windows. Select Safe Mode.
  3. You will see some dll, sys, and com files scrolling down your screen, this is normal. Eventually the PC will boot up and you'll have a login screen with your User Account(s) and a new account, Administrator. Select Administrator.
  4. As long as you haven't, in the past, altered the password for the Administrator account, you should be able to simply click this account and have it log you in. If it requests a password, you might try "password" (without quotes) for the password.
  5. Once in, Navigate to Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts
  6. Select the User Login information that you're not able to log into and remove the password for the account or change it something you know.
You can now reboot the PC normally and be able to log into this account without a password or with the password you created.

I can not reset my windows password

This only works if your account isn't already the "Administrator" account. It will work if your account is just an account with administrator rights.
Boot into Safe Mode, log in as Administrator, change your password:
1) Turn off your computer.
2) Turn it back on while repeatedly tapping the "F8" key.
3) Use your arrow keys to select the option to boot to Safe Mode and press Enter.
4) In Safe Mode, log in as the Administrator
5) Open the Control Panel
6) Go to User Accounts
7) Click on your account
8) Click on "Change the password"
