I lose battery life fast why?

While using the HTC G1 there are different features such as watching YouTube, listening to music, programs running in the background, using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth®, constantly synchronizing e-mail that can drain the battery quickly.
To improve battery life, refer to the following information: • When you don't need 3G services, set your phone to connect to a 2G network. To do this, press HOME > MENU > Settings > Wireless controls > Mobile networks, then select the Prefer 2G networks option. • When your G1 is not in use, press END CALL/POWER to switch off the screen. • Select a shorter idle time before the phone screen switches off and lower the screen brightness. To do this, press HOME > MENU > Settings > Sound & display > Brightness and Screen timeout. • Use the AC adapter to plug your G1 into an external power outlet whenever possible. • Turn Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off when you are not using it. To do this, press HOME > MENU > Settings > Wireless controls. • Turn off your phone connection to GPS satellites when not in use. To do this, press HOME > MENU, tap Settings > Security & location, then clear the GPS satellites option. • Close battery-intensive programs, such as the Camera, when you are done using them.

My HTC Shadow goes to the white Tmobile Shadow screen and gats stuck and wont go any further. I can't turn it off using the keys I have to take out the battery to turn it off

the "soft buttons are right below the screen hold both down then turn on the phone this will make the phone ask if you want to reset to default so try removing the batt , mem card and sim card first as this it the last resort you will lose all changes made to the phone except mem card and sim card stored items worked on my shadow fine good luck peeps

My screen went white!

your device might have a problem with the LCM panel ground connection. that may make the screen white. try sending it to the HTC service center.

Tmobile Shadow will not come fully on. It only loads to the "Tmobile shadow Logo" screen

Mine gets stuck on the SHADOW T-Mobile page at first... I leave it alone and it starts up... Then it gets stuck on any page it wants that I have used, it also mixes/scrambles pages...
Everything is SOOO SLOW....Could not delete a voicemail today as it did not feel like sending off the '7' signal...

It started when I ran out of battery the other night.... yesterday when I left it on but in 'airplane mode' it died in one hour from fully charged...??

I am quite sure it is battery related? I have ordered a new one from Amazon for 98 cents.... plus $6 S/H... LOL

Good luck!

My tmobile wing won't turn on

If you have an SD card in your phone take it out and try turning it on. You can take it out when you see it going back to the white t-mobile screen. Once the device is on and to the home screen you can insert the card again.

The screen won't light up and when the screen slided up the screen display becomes too bright (white) that nothing can be read off it

My MDA loses its settings frequently as well. Go to Start, Settings, System, Backlight, and see what it looks like. Maybe the settings have changed.

Power the Shadow off. Hold down the two soft buttons (The two right under the screen) and turn it back on. There should be a quick menu that pops up asking if you want to reset it. Say yes, let it reboot, and it will then start restoring your phone to defaults.

You will loose all your data.

means your firmware is corrupt. the only way to get you back in your device is to do a hart reset via your sw keys.....

WARNING, This will delete everything that is stored on your device, and unless your computer can recognize your device, you wont be able to get it back.

in order to the the software reset, the device needs to be fully off. preferably, take the battery out of the phone before you get started.

press and hold the 'soft keys' (buttons above the back arrow and home keys, they have a line on them) and hold those down. while you are doing that, press and hold your power button for about 3 (three) seconds and release the power button. the phone should begin to turn on but then it should go to a black DAS screen with white writing. at this time you can release the Soft keys.

press the green call button to reset the device. it will reboot and you should be able to get in your phone. if this fails and if the computer does not recognize the device, you will have to contact either your phone provider or HTC to replace the device.
