I followed the solution offered Susan 777 and it did not work for me. My son changed the settings in my phone and I can no longer send text messages. It goes through the process of sending, only to say unable to send - in Outbox to retry later. When I go to the Outbox and check the status, the message will say "sending in progress." Ultimately, I get the message Sending Failed - Status: 96. I am truly frustrated because I was texting this morning with no problem and now I cannot. In need of expert advice.

ou can unlock your mototola v3 mobile from network lock using unlock code...Once you unlocked it you can use any gsm network sim card in your mobile at any country...I found an unlocking service at here www.unlocking4u.com and unlocked my mobile successfully. This is the online service which offer the code at reasonable cost...Through this can unlock your mobile easily...
If your device has a sim card you may try doing a sim card swap to see if the issue is with the device or the sim card. Some times when a sim is going bad you will get odd messages. If the issue follows the sim then it will need to be replaced if it stays with the handset then you may need to have it replaced.
I hope this answers your question. Thank you for visiting FixYa for your solutions.

will not work with boost mobile, (even if it is unlocked) you might be able to use it with boost mobile cdma, which uses sprint service. they no longer advertise this service, but still accept new users. give boost a call and ask them for the boost mobile cdma number
It may be caused that when you take out sim from old phome it has damaged, try for old one is it still working? if not then your sim is dead, also old phones made SIM-s to be bend and such SIM-s have difficlt electrical connection with new phones.
Also find if "this sim only" is activated in your phone.
It must give you signal, Insert sim card, or insert proper sim. If insert sim card warning card is damaged or have not enough good connection, if another, then this sim only is activated you first you must unlock it to work .
I think u First contact Ur Service Provider..Otherwise u can Unlock the Sim From the Network.Change the Service..You can use the site http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/ For the Mobile Unlocking Instructions
Yes. Just buy a pay as you go sim card and pop it in the phone but if you buy as sim from another network you may need to get the phone unlocked. What I mean is, if you are on Orange, for example, you will be able to use an Orange pay as you go sim but if the new sim is from T-Mobile you might need to get your phone unlocked
