Curved mascara brushes. These mascara wands are designed to lift and curl your lashes. When using this type of wand, move the mascara from the lash base to the tips, using a wiggling motion to prevent clumping.

Comb mascara brushes. These wands separate lashes to achieve a thicker look. Make sure to use an eyelash curler before using a comb mascara brush in order to provide more length.

Flexible mascara brushes. These brushes are built to move more freely and separate lashes at the root better then other brushes.

Best False Eyelashes.have big blue eyes but being blonde, my lashes are so pale and very skimpy to boot. What I do have is of a medium length. I've ordered Fiberwig mascara but I have an event coming up where photos will be taken from afar. Meaning full body but not close ups. I really want my eyes to pop so I am thinking about false eye lashes. I've only attempted them once and I tried the individual lashes. They looked fine but were so hard for me to apply. I had heard to put them in between your normal lashes but that was impossible. Even using tweezers, it was just so difficult to get them in the right position and after many hours of practice, I gave up on them. So this time I want to consider the one-step kind. A band of lashes. Are any products better than others? Or can anyone give me any tips for applying them? I don't want to look like it's Halloween but just like I have natural full long lashes, which I hardly have. Without some kind of mascara, my eyes look strange, as if I have no lashes.

I recommend the ones they sell at Sally's! Ardell is the brand. I really do think the strip kinds are easier to apply than the individual.. and much QUICKER to apply as well. It took me more time to apply a few individual lashes at the outer corners of my eyes than to apply an entire strip. I also couldn't tell a big difference with the individuals.

I try to find ones that look, well let me try to explain this... I bought some that looked "natural" and they were very long and not thick enough and looked funny. If it makes sense, some of them criss cross at the bottom very slightly, and I think these gave the best look. They looked natural but just gave my lashes a boost. Just don't get anything TOO wild and you will be fine. I actually only noticed a slight difference in pictures when I wore them, but I could see them more in person. There was a particular kind sold at grocery stores that had rhinestones or a tiny bit of glitter on them... the jewels were a bit much, but the lashes were GREAT so I'd just pick them off. Some lashes are just VERY noticably wild and some are a little too plain.

So I try to find ones labeled "glam" or "dramatic" but that still look natural at the same time. The very thin natural ones just didn't work for me and were thinner than my real lashes. Then of cousre the wild party ones can be a little TOO out there!

When applying 2 different mascaras one for lengthening and one for thickening, which should be applied first? Also is there a great mascara that does both and curl too or am I asking for too much? Thanks

If you already have two separate products that you favor to do the separate jobs of lengthening and thickening the lashes, you should always apply the lengthening mascara BEFORE the thickening product. The reason for this is that a thickening formula could more readily become clumped when layered over by the addition of the lengthening formula.

However, there are a number of new products on the market that are specialized to given women the looks they are after. When it comes to mascara, the current "new face" on the market is the "Exact" line from Cover Girl. This product line comes in three formulas: Lash Exact, Volume Exact, and Curl Exact and user reviews have been overwhelmingly positive.

The Volume Exact is (as would be reasonable to assume) designed to thicken the eyelashes, while the Lash Exact claims to thicken and elongate the lashes in one product. The Curl Exact mascara is meant to provide longer, thicker lashes with a brush designed to curl the lashes as well.
