I was just wondering if anyone knows how to fix the NAT type 3 problem on your ps3. I have a speedstream siemens 4100/4200 modem. Some of my mates say its my modem and I also think that. I also have looked in various places on the internet for the same problem, but they mostly have different modems so it dosnt help. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Bridging the modem actually disables the dhcp server on your modem...
If you bridge the modem, then the dhcp will get disabled which in turn disables NAT on your modem...
If you contact your ISP they will help you to bridge the modem... because bridging varies according to the ISP...

401 Authorization Required is the message you get after the default allowed password attempts have failed. When trying to access the Speedstream, you didn't type in the correct password which results in that failure message.
you should be able to access your modem in your web browser using 10.1.1.1 as the address . if u haven't changed the password and user name they should both be admin. once in the settings change from static IP to dynamic ip this should solve your connection problems
Hey, I've had the same problem too with my NAT but it said medium instead of restricted. I havent tried this yet cause I'm at work but you restart your router by just inpluggin the power cord and waiting 20 seconds than trying again.
