LCD screen gives green collers is flikkering

With digital cameras you can only do so much. Making sure batteries are charged swapping out memory cards is about the limit of the consumer. If there is a chance it got slightly damp you you can try drying it out by begging it with some dry rice, put the camera in a cloth bag to keep the rice from finding the nooks.
With the problem you're having your best hope is a active warranty or even better did you buy a extended warranty. If the warranty is good go for it. Even if you don't have a warranty try talking customer service. If the problem you have is common the manufacturer may extend the warranty or provide the option of replacement with a refurbished item for a fixed price in exchange for your broken one. I'm trying to get my webcam to work on my computer but it keeps say that "This device cannot start" (Code 10).

Try moving it to another USB port. If that doesn't work, it may be pulling more power than the USB controller has left to give it. Try a powered USB hub.

How can i use my web cam to my PC?

Position your webcam where you want it. Most people choose to position it directly on top of the computer monitor, because this area is closest to the face and provides the most intimate view of the subject.
Set up an account with Yahoo!. This is a site that allow webcam users to communicate with one another. To set up an account, click on "Create an Account" on the main screen. You are asked to enter your name, birthdate, a screen name and a password that you will use for the account
Download Yahoo! Messenger by going to the Yahoo! Messenger website and clicking "Download." Click "Save" to save the Messenger program to your computer. Wait for the program to download. Click "Run" to install Messenger on your computer. A Yahoo! Messenger icon will be installed on your computer's desktop. Double-click on the icon, and Yahoo! Messenger loads. Log in to your account by typing in your selected screen name and password and clicking "Submit."
Connect your webcam with Yahoo! Messenger by clicking on the "Create and Update" tab on your Yahoo! Messenger software. Choose "Site tools" and "Webcam." Select "Start Your Webcam." Your webcam is now connected to your Yahoo! Messenger software, and you are ready to communicate with others by using your webcam.
Use your webcam. Select "Webcam Upload" and "Broadcast" on Yahoo! Messenger. A webcam window will appear on your computer screen. To share what you are seeing on your webcam with other Yahoo! Messenger users, click on "Chat" and type in the screen name of the user you wish to communicate with. Click "Submit." A new window will open to chat with the other user. Click on the video icon on your chat window to allow the other user to see your webcam. To continue or stop broadcasting, either keep the Webcam window open or close it to stop broadcasting.

Is the kodak easy share c180 digital camera webcam?

I won't say the camera is usable as a webcam because you will definitely severly shorten the life of the camera by using it as such. Firstly the camera is designed to take photos and short videos, NOT being left on continuously for use as a webcam. The heat generated by doing so could damage the delicate CCD (the part which collects light from the lens and converts it into electrical signals) Secondly most cameras are deigned to switch themselves off after a certain period of non use. Not handy for webcams.

Next there's the power issue. Unless you are using an external power supply for the camera you will be forever replacing batteries and for what an external power supply costs you could buy a proper made for the job USB powered WebCam complete with focus and sometimes zoom.

Next there's the mounting issue. Where will you mount the camera to give a well lit and steady picture of your face. Definitely not on top of the monitor due to extra heat generated by the monitor itself. Mix that with camera's heat and hello, and too soon, goodbye camera.

Webcams cost $20 if ou shop around maybe cheaper. OK your cmera will give a better picture but at the distance you're talking it won't matter. Plus you will need software to generate the webcam picture. MSN is a good webcam program. Plus depending on the output of the camera, usually only video. You may need a video capture card for your computer. The camera will give you a full screen image of what it's pointed at but you need a box to put a smaller picture in on the screen otherwise all you will see is one big face, yours.

So do you really want to wear your camera out prematurely simply because you can't afford a $20 webcam. The made for the job unit is cheap, will stay on all day and the power comes from the USB port. Everything you need and cheap. I think you know which way to go.

Good luck

I keep getting the red hand never the green hand

Hi mariah, all the red hand means is that the camera was moved slightly when the picture was taken. If the picture looks fine I wouldn't work about it, or you could do like I did: I went to walmart and found a $25 tripod that works really well.

hope this helps!
