It is possible that these files are hidden. plug ur mp3 player in and go to my computer. right clik the player and selct explore. once there go to tools then folder options. next go to veiw on the top tabs. select show hidden files. that should do it.

Hi,

There are 2 ways to delete music files. You can delete them from the player directly or
using the computer.
To delete music files directly from the Sansa player, follow these steps:
1. In playback mode, press Submenu button.
2. Select the Delete Song item.

To delete music files using the computer, follow these steps:
1. Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2. Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial connection.
3. Locate the folder where your music files are stored.
4. Highlight and delete the music files or folder.

I hope this helps.
Thanks.

in the mp3, there should be a Format option. it deletes EVERYTHING so be careful. or you can use my computer and delete everything manually. pretty easy. to do that, go to my computer and see if you can find it there. if your music dousent show on it, its 'hidden'.

My sandisk mp3 player will not delte music

You probably noticed that the directions for deleting in the manual simply don't work, the option isn't there. There are still a couple ways to do it.

Connect the player to your computer, navigate to the device and select the files you wish to delete, then press delete. Somewhat time consuming if you have a lot of files.

Another way is use Windows Media Player to sync the device. Load your library with the files you want on your player, then sync. WMP will delete all files on the player now, and put only the files you have selected on the player.

Deleting the same song, with a different name

the reason it doesn't show the track version is because you changed the ID3 tag (which is something inside the music file, not the actual file name).

Try using winamp to delete your songs, it will read all the ID3 tags properly and show you the track version names

Wheres the music?

Put the player in MSC mode
Plug in
go to My Comp
go to tools
go to folder options
choose view tab, then choose SHOW HIDDEN FILES and hit apply
once you choose OK you should see the folder Music,
open and delete at will like you would any file: highlight, rightclick, delete.
You can also format in MSC mode by rightclicking on player in My Comp and choosing Format
