My dvd player TF-DVD1021 DOESNT SHOW PICTURE OR SOUND

Those units are bottom of the barrel. Sorry. You and I have already spent more time on it than it is worth. Check power, and switches. Ewaste. Invest In a Panasonic or other major brand. You will enjoy the picture a lot more also. Check Fry's or Ebay.

Recording from VHS to DVDR was going fine, then I stopped getting a picture. DVD player is fine plays back recordings etc. However tape player starts to play shows picture then stops showing video and...

Possibly dirty video heads. I would suggest that you run a head-cleaning tape through the VCR deck to shift surface dirt off the heads. If that doesn't work, or it sort of works, but not satisfactorily, unplug unit, carefully remove top cover, and with the VCR deck in view, gently clean the heads with a soft cloth or special cleaning stick (these look like flat q-tips but are intended for VCRs - available from electronics/hobby stores) and some alcohol (methylated spirit will work if that's all you got - but isopropyl alcohol is recommended - available from the same places as the sticks) clean the guides (gently so as not to disturb their alignment) clean the pinch roller/capstan shaft - CTL (on the right-hand side of the drum) and FE (left side) heads as well. The whole tape path should be carefully cleaned. Refit top cover (carefully), plug unit back into power, wait until it completes its startup/loading procedure, then put a tape in. You should now have a playback picture with the sound. You only need to do this as required if head-cleaning cassettes don't work properly.

If none of the above cures your problem, then the heads are abraded/worn - let's hope that isn't the case here. This model does not use a built-in head cleaner.

For some reason, my DVD player just started showing up in black and white. Also, when I select the "source" on my TV remote, instead of showing the option "AV" for the DVD player, it...

Select AV as your source and that should cure the problem as long as you have the video and audio cables connected to the right inputs. You could also use an S-Video cable instead of the video cable for better picture quality depending on your TV model (assuming it has a S-video input). Your owners manual(s) will probably have diagrams for you to follow.

Panasonic dvd rv32 tv set at ch 00, play, sound only - no pic

you idealy need to use a scart lead from the dvd to the tv, then pick the "av" chanel it is plugged intoon the tv. You get a much better picture using a scart lead.

My dvd player doesnt show picture but sound is good

Did you try replacing the video cable normally it is yellow right, Ok with the audio cable red and white, try to use them as video because theres sound meaning cable is ok, if the picture shows with red cable or white that means you have to change the video cable (yellow). hope it helps.
