first off, check how much space you have on hard disk.left click my computer, then local disk,in drop down box click properties.if its more than 3/4 full your looking at a bigger hard drive.also you try defragmenting the drive. go to accesories/tools/defragment, then run it

Then, it should be FULLY covered under WARRANTY, either from the store from where you bought it, or from ACER.

> new battery from COSTCO

It's probably 100% fine; it's your laptop that is the problem.

Exercise the WARRANTY to get the laptop repaired/replaced, at NO COST to you.

My hard disk has been destroy and i have warranty

Then you need to bring back the hard disk to where you purchased it along with the receipt. They will provide you with a new one. If you want to recover the contents of your hard disk, try putting it to a hard disk usb enclosure and plug it to a computer. It will be detected as additional data drive.

Please let me know how else can I help. Thank you for using FixYa.

I owned a intel desktop. My friends a week ago was playing games on it they claim it just went out...Now it will not turn on...I tried different connections nothing, no signs of power entering the system.

Open casing of your computer while its unplugged. Remove power connector and data (ribbon) cables from HDD, CDROM and Floppy drive. Now restart your system keep eye on keyboard's lights these must blink two times first when you switched on and secondly when its booting up. If its still not, remove RAMs, check its connectors clean them gently with cleaning agent place them in their RAM slot. Restart your computer. Similarly check all with the same procedure. INSTALLAH you will be success. NOW, connect all cards and Hard disk at the last. REMEMBER ME.

I just bought a Gateway FHX 2300 computer. my problem is that when I open the right side of my computer to insert a disk there is no place to put the disk.

As I can see Gateway FHX 2300 the monitor model. Clarify me the dasktop or laptop model to try to help you.

ONE BAD LEAD?

try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive one bad lead will cause a computer to shut down

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

hope this helps
