Lost receipt I bought a Gateway computer there a couple of weeks ago and find that the disk drive won't open. I can't find my receipt. Is it possible to get a copy?

Had a similar issue on my Gateway laptop not long ago and ordered
the proper disks from Gateway for under 20 bucks and it only took a few days to get them via courier.so here is the link http://us-store.gateway.com/.Sadly when we bought computers years ago
new they came with the repair and or recovery media. Now its an extra but its so handy to have. Hope this helps Good Luck

I have a Gateway GT5654 desktop that won't stop shutting down. I bought the computer brand new about 3 years ago, and I've never had any problems until now (I've even been running Norton 360...


it is possible that one of the three are going out on the computer, motherboard, harddrive, power supply, only a computer tech could tell which one.

Got a hiphonics square 12 lost bought it a year ago but lost receipt isnt it still under warranty?only had five hundred watts going to it and it know has no sound.


See if store you bought it from has a record of the sale in their computer Find date you bought it bank statement with transaction on it etc and take it with you
Doesn't pay to lose these receipts Good luck

Keyboard Vol + key is not working.


Check to see that the batteries are good. They may have sat on the shelf long enough to have lost strength until you bought the unit.

Disc consistency, dvd player not recognizing discs


Your cd/dvd drive is most likely failed. Possible controller problem but most likely dvd drive. Replacement is fairly straight forward but replacement may be a bit costly. I would search for sources for used / refurbished drives; contact me if I can assist you further.
