The error means that your system is not able to detect the hard drive on the system, check if the hard drive wire connections are tight and not loose and then try rebooting the system.

Look for hard drive stats on POST whether it succeeds or fails. This is how you can do that.
When system boots up, press the PAUSE?BREAK on the black screen and see whats system comment for your hard drive power test. If it succeeds and your hard drive's connections are also tight then possibly your hard drive might have crashed ( which means there are bad sectors on the hard disk).

Try performing disk checking on the hard drive to see if there are any bad sectors on the hard disk, the disk check will automatically fix the soft errors but if the errors and hard errors in that case the disk checking utility will not automatically fix the errors and you will need to get a new hard drive.

Thanks !!!

Operating system not found

The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard disk has failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

Loveno S10-2 - No bootable device found

Make sure your hard drive has higher priority in the boot options in BIOS. If it still doesn't boot then you will need to replace your hard drive. If it shows no hard drive in BIOS then the drive is most certainly bad and needs to be replaced.

When i open my acer 4047 just displyd for setup key f2/f12 to pres, then i press f12 to reinstall new windows but there is i dont fine any hard drive?

Seeing as this is an approximately 8-year-old laptop, if you are getting a message that no hard drive is found, you have one of two issues.

Either your BIOS has reset itself and is not looking at your internal hard disk as the boot source and the message is not hard drive not found but boot disk not found .... OR ..... your hard drive has suffered a failure and needs replacement.

Diskettedrive 1 seek failure primary hard disk drive 1 not found secondary hardisk drive 1 not found cp says strike f1 but cp boot only up to xp logo then re start again and so on again and again

If both of the hard drives are on the same data cable/disk drive controller it is unlikely that both the have failed. Reseat the data cable connectors on the hard drives and at the motherboard.
Reboot you computer and hopefully it will boot up.
Check the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drives.
If not the disk drive controller on the motherboard may be faulty.

Disk boot failure

The computer isnt seeing your hard drive, make sure your hard drive is plugged in or the pins are set up for master on the back of the drive. If you have it on cs which is cable select it has to be on the end of your ribbon cable. Go into bios to make sure the boot is in the right order.

My acer aspire 5538G won't boot, i get a message saying error PXE-E61: media test failure check cable PXE-MOF exiting broadcom PXE ROM operating system not found.. and i am unable to use disk to disk...

Your computer is attempting to boot over the network (something that only works with a server on the network) PXE E61 Media Test Failure Error
You can get this message if the boot device order is wrong in your computer (go into bios and check) but more often, the computer has tried to boot from the hard drive and dvd and failed before trying to boot from the network. It sounds like the hard drive has been failing for a long time and is now so bad the disk to disk no longer works. Replace the hard drive and reinstall using the recovery DVDs you created. If you didn't create them, you may have to contact Acer for a set.

When I switch on my pc,it tells me disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter. I have XP proffessional sp3 but only have a xp home disk.

If your computer has just been formatted, your computer might require you to insert the boot CD

to be able to run it. You might hence get the error message Disk Boot Failure- Insert disk and

press enter displayed on the screen every time you will try to run it. This might be linked

to:

* 1. The boot options not correctly set in BIOS
* 2. A non bootable CD is found in your CD drive
* 3. You do not possess any bootable device
* 4. You have installed a new hard disk
* 5. The hard disk is not properly plugged
* 6. Your system files have been infected
