Question about Panasonic DMR-EZ47V DVD Recorder/VCR
I own a TOSHIBA SE-RO301 dvd player. I've downloaded and burned some bittorrents on dvd and I'm wondering how (and indeed, if) they will play on this specific recorder. My Philips plays them w/o any apparent problem. If the toshiba's unable to function along for this, would you be able to recommend any player that'll do this? Or advise me as to what kind of model I should be looking for?
If by bit-torrents you mean avi video files the DVD recorder must state it will play divX files. But if the files are encoded with a codec other than divX or X-vid then they may not play directly on any standalone DVD.
If the files you have downloaded are mpg2 files there is a chance they may play.
Lite-on do a nice small compact model that plays divX, or the Toshiba D-R17DTKB plays most things and has 1080p upscaling so you can connect it to an HDTV and upscale any slightly poor quality files you may of downloaded.
