Thanks for the reply. When we held down the "8" and "STOP" ... we received a "CA1" error code. What does this mean? Thank you so much.
The machine has a laser in it to scan the copy.
When you have this problem and you are trying to fix it yourself it is best to let Xerox do the repair. Ask them to load the newest drivers on the machine with their laptop.
If you have the old software there is a timing window problem with the old driver. Replacing the laser will not fix the problem. You will get the same problem even with the new laser. Also, you need to have the right laser for the machine model you have, there are different type lasers for this model machine.
Xerox will warrenty the call for 30 days anyway , so take the call.
