If anyone would know it would be the company who made it. Walmart buys from small electronics companies and puts it under the Durabrand name. Very Sneaky. The company that makes the DVD player is called Lenoxx. There website is www.lenoxx.com. Here is the rest of their contact info.

This rechargeable battery works with most brands of portable DVD players and adds up to 8 additional hours of playback time.

I wrote to Walmart.com. The corporate office. They contacted my local store and the store replaced my machine with a brand new magnavox even though my machine was 1 year old, Try it. They told us that customer satisfaction was guaranteed. They also told us that the company was out of business.

Hi Sharon,
do you still need additional battery packs? the model 705 come with 2 slightly different batteries (they are not interchageable). I have 2 of the battery model BAT-05, which I will sell for $40 each + shipping. The other is an ealier model with not battery #. That one is $40 + shipping also. They all keep a good charge. email me at 1topwop@comcast.net
warmest regards,
Marisa
