We were watching a movie with our dvd player...zenith dvc2515...all of a sudden...movie froze....remote control doesnt make any action at all...cant fast forward...stop...remove disc...nothing works...we tried manually on dvd player to touch all buttons...no results....dvd still stuck in player....my husband unplugged the dvd player...then plugged it back in and turned it back...no results...dvd player still has dvd player stuck..help....jack and pam winter
SOURCE: My DVD player wont read a disc
There are several things you can do to try and solve your problem: Make sure that the DVDs you try to play are encoded for the right region. Make sure that the transportation lock (usually a plastic screw on the bottom of the unit), is not engaged. Turn off player with disc inserted, unplug temporarily from wall outlet, plug back in and turn back on.

SOURCE: Unit totally locked up
I called the secondary 800# as the number in the manual has a recording for "if you are calling about the drc8335 call 877-805-0519" how bout it? A separate number just for this unit?
The guy said to unplug the unit for at least 30 MINUTES & that I would have to rescan in all the channels I have spent alot of time scanning in by rotation of the antenna. Geezzz I wish I had returned it to the store before the 90days were up... (price has dropped below $150 was 219 last year?)

I think I figured it out...at least mine is working now anyways and it hasn't worked in 2 years! I got the remote out, pushed setup in dvd mode and initialize and now it works
