There is another way to transfer video from you camcorder if you
camcorder support USB streaming. I usually use this method with my Sony
Camcorder because more simple and don't need additional hardware.
1) Install you camcorder driver to your PC/laptop.
2) Connect your camcorder to PC/laptop.
3) Open Windows Movie Maker.
4) Create a new project and select source input device to your
5) Start record on your Windows Movie Maker application and press play
on your camcorder.
6) Wait until camcorder finish playing and press stop in your WMM.
7) Save the file as WMV (later you can convert to another format using
any video converter or even burn to CD)
PS: you can even edit the movie frame or add some opening text or end
2 options, first would be firewire if your camera has it , if not finalise the dvd on ur cam then just put your dvd inside the drive , providing its not a laptop then the normal drive on a mac has a smaller gap in the middle to accompany a smaller disc, then use idvd/imovie2/final cut etc, copy the file or film on to the hard drive and then you can edit it , otherwise if it is a laptop then you need external dvd drive
the way you can transfer your videos on your computer is by using USB cable and install the driver to your computer. You can upload your videos by saving it on ULEAD products. As far as i know you cant transfer videos from disc to your memory card unless it was been converted but you cant view or watch it on your camcorder itself only computer can play this because your camcorder is not able to play such converted files.
i will give you a step by step on your camcorder.
connect your camcorder using your USB cable to your computer and be sure it is ON
Install the cd driver camed with your camcorder. if you didnt prompt on looking for a driver then go to the add hardware on the control panel and follow the procedure there.
after the installation you should see the icon on the my computer labeled scanners and cameras and indicating the model of your camcorder.
Install Ulead Power Producer or any editing movie that you have like Windows movie maker, nero movier maker etc.. i prefer to use Ulead because its so easy to use
after uploading and editing your videos using ULEAD save it on any various types of videos that you like. you should see it after you want to save it.
