I fixed my problem,it was the optocoupler no 7412 on the large signal board, the TV
wouldn't come on at first,so i disconnected the audio amp and convergence
boards to check for a short, after which it started to stay on,with them disconnected. I was then able to check the 130 volt supply. It was only reading 104 volts and would not respond to any adjustment to the pot. when i changed the 7412 opto the 130 volt supply started working and i was able to adjust it.Now if i can replace the crt coolant and put it back together without breaking anything.I purchased the optocoupler from
mauser electronics the number is HCNW136-000E for $1.80 each
PS:figured solution after reading a few post.

I have a 60in phillips magnovox rear projection tv model number 9P6040 C104. The green power light comes on but I have no video/audio. And it makes a chirping type sound. Could someone please gice me some...

Your problem seems to be convergence. This has to do with the video/ audio. If your Tv has no video/ audio and make a chirping sound when you turn on the TV, the problem is within the convergence chips. The symtoms you describes gets to the heart of your tv issue. However your tv can be fixed and it does not have to cost you an arm and one of your legs. If you think you can tackle this repair by doing it yourself then I suggest giving it a go. You can order the kit (audio/video)repair kit/chirping. The cost is reasonable, $68.00. It comes with all the replacement parts and thorugh instructions to guide you through the process. Give it some thought if you think you can fix the tv, if not have a professional do the job. Good Luck.

How to get to the crt's to clean?

Hello fixitmama33,
Be very careful these CRTs contain a hazardous coolant material in the cooling jacket and should only be handled by a professional TV repair person. First, if you are intent on doing this. I would suggest you get a schematic and study the exploded view of the TV and then follow the instructions on how to get to the CRTs properly.  I say this because there are a few things you have to do before removing the CRTs first you have to discharge the stored voltage in the CRTs (around 2Kv-15Kv) "Yes I have seen a CRT store up to 15K volts", This should only be attempted by someone who knows what to expect.
I hope this helps
Thank you,
