Hi, my name is John. Welcome to FixYa. Most of these compressors run on 15 to 20 amps service depending on the size. Try a different outlet and see what happens. Thanks for choosing FixYa...John

Frigidaire wont get cold

Hey Rene S, thanks for your post!

In order to reset your Frigidaire refrigerator you would need to disconnect power from it for roughly ten minutes. You can do that by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. If that does not correct your cooling issue I would recommend contacting a professional to come out and diagnosis your appliance to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Ac won't blow any air

Good Morning David - Here are some simple troubleshooting tips to help resolve this issue:
If the outside temperature or inside temperature is below 60 degrees, the unit may not run.
·
Confirm that the unit has power to it.
·
Check the power cord connection to the wall outlet is secure.
·
Make sure that the house circuit breaker has not tripped.
·
Make sure the unit is turned off, Press the TEST button, you will notice a click as the BUTTON pops out. Then press the RESET button. Again, you will notice a click as the button engages, now turn unit on. If the LCDI plug does not reset the cord may be damaged.
·
The "Cool" circuit has an automatic 3-minute compressor time delayed start if the unit is turned off and on quickly. This prevents overheating of the compressor and possible circuit breaker tripping and the fan will continue to run during this time.
·
If the unit has been turned off and on rapidly or if the thermostat was changed to a lower number and then immediately turned back to a higher number the compressor may not start. You must turn the unit off and wait a minimum of 3 minutes for the unit to equalize before restarting.
I would recommend reaching out to an experienced appliance tech just to ensure no troubleshooting step has been missed. Parts are often costly and if the problem is precisely diagnosed, it can save you a lot of time and funds. I hope these troubleshooting tips help you in some small way.

Have a frigidare wall ac (FAA067P7A). Worked 1st year we had it but problems after. Only time compressor kicks in is when we hit reset button. Then cold air comes out for couple minutes then compressor...

The compressor is stopping on overload. There is either a weak breaker or an electrical problem causing the overload to open the circuit and stop the compressor. It has to be taken apart to determine what is or is not going on.

I have a husky jump start / compressor station model HSK03 Everything was working fine, but now the compressor stopped working. Is there a reset button or curcuit breaker? Thank you

The model that I looked at on the internet has a high temperature switch that will not let the compressor run if it gets hot (about 15 minutes of operation).
It will cool down in 10 minutes and allow the compressor to run again.
This MAY be the problem.

Breaker keeps tripping on outside air conditioner unit

The compressor is probably drawing to many amps. Breaker could be weak also.. Need to check the amp draw on the compressor.

If the breaker is hot when it blows, the compressor is probably going bad.

Air conditioner runs for several minutes then

Take it back to the dealer and have them fix it, could be a compressor froze up or a fan froze up. If you disconnect the compressor and turn it on and it trips the breaker the fan is probably
bad. If you disconnect the Fan and turn it on and it trips the breaker
it is you compressor.

Breaker breaks

This unit may have an internal overload mounted on top of the compressor. You would have to get to the
compressor to find out and it maybe faulty. That may
explain why the compressor comes on later on, this
overload protects the compressor from getting hot.

When you trip the breaker and then reset it again only to see it trip again almost sounds like a direct short or loose wire. It could also mean that your
capacitor needs to be replaced or that you need a hard start kit and the unit needs a good cleaning.

Try just operating the fan and see if it trips the breaker, if it does then either the blower motor is bad
or it is still the capacitor.

Sluggish on start and blows the breaker on compressor 17amp

replace the start capacitor on the motor body,it is located under a metal cover by loosening 2 screws,it is getting weak, also if you leave this breaker jumped, you will soon over heat the motor windings and ruin the motor

Compressor not kicking on

is the outdoor fan on the condenser running? if it is then the compressor has burned out, or the capacitor that starts the compressor may be at fault. Check circuit breakers first to see if they are tripped. If there is a breaker tripped reset it once. If it trips again call a pro to check it out.
