Step two: Install the new print cartridge

    1. Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging and, being careful to touch
only the black plastic, gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab.

      Figure 5: Remove the tape

      1 - Copper-colored contacts

2 - Plastic tape with pink pull tab (must be removed before installing)

3 - Ink nozzles under tape

      CAUTION:

Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles.
Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical
      connections.

    2. Slide the new print cartridge forward into the empty slot. Then gently push on the
upper part of the print cartridge forward until it clicks into the socket.

      • If you are installing the tri-color print cartridge, slide it into the left slot.

      • If you are installing a black or photo print cartridge, slide it into the right slot.

Figure 6: Insert the print cartridge

    3. Close the print-carriage access door.

Figure 7: Close the access door

Step three: Align the print cartridges

The HP All-in-One prompts you to align cartridges every time you install or replace a
print cartridge. Use the following steps to align the print cartridges from the control panel.

    1. Make sure you have letter or A4 unused plain white paper loaded in the input
      tray, and then press
      OK
      .

    2. The HP All-in-One prints a print cartridge alignment sheet.

      NOTE:

If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align
the print cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper
into the input tray, and then try the alignment again.

    3. Lift the lid. Place the top of the alignment page face
down in the left front corner of the scanner glass. Close
      the lid.

Figure 8: Load the alignment sheet on the glass

    4. Press
      OK
      to begin the alignment.

    5. The HP All-in-One aligns the print cartridges. Recycle or discard the print
      cartridge alignment sheet.

Having trouble fitting new ink cartridge

Hi, when an ink cartridge runs low in your HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One printer, you will see a message on the printer's display screen. Faded-looking text or pictures also indicate low ink. Ensure print quality by replacing ink cartridges when they run low.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

* HP #27 or #56 black, #22 color or #58 color photo print cartridge, or compatible equivalent

Turn printer on if it is off. Never attempt to change the ink cartridge if the printer is off. If it is off, it will not properly position or release ink cartridges, and attempting to change the ink cartridges may damage the printer.

Open the print-carriage door, located on the right side of the printer. The print carriage will automatically move into the access area.

Push down on the top edge of the cartridge you are replacing to pop it out of its slot. Remove the print cartridge and discard or recycle.

Pull off the protective tape on the new print cartridge using the pink tab. Do not touch any part of the cartridge except the black plastic. Touching the contacts or ink nozzles under the protective tape can damage the cartridge and result in poor print quality.

Hold the cartridge upright and push gently forward into the empty ink cartridge slot until it clicks.

Close the print-carriage door.

Printer not printing, message appears saying cartridges dont fit.

Have you recently changed your cartridges? Try replacing them, if you haven't printed for a while the cartridges will dry up and you will not be able to print.

Hp officejet 5610 All-in-one having 'cartridge error', need help to solve it. thank you.

Remove both cartridges and clean the electrical contacts with a dry cloth. Clean the contacts in the carriage, inside the product too. Put the cartridges back in.
If that doesn't work, remove the black cartridge from the printer and try to print something. If the color one prints, you need to change the black cartridge. If the color one won't print, and the black does, then you need to change the color cartridge.

Very slow printing - HP 5610 all in one

Very simple solution: The cartridges still have ink in them but printing is very slow. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Take a wet paper towel and wipe the print head on each one until the ink flows from each head. Usually it is the color cartridge because it is used less than the black one. Once ink is flowing again, reinsert the cartridges into the printer and your normal printing speed will return. This worked for me, no thanks to the "experts" or trouble shooting guides.
