Re: Jenn-Air Gas-Electric Grill Ranfe with Convection...
If possible, squat down in front of the range and put your ear as close to the bottom of the control panel/top of the door when you close it. there is a small motor that pulls the door in when you use the self-cleaning function. perhaps that motor is running all the time? its quite, more of a humm. this could explain why its locking itself. other than that, my convection oven JennAir has a small fan in the back that runs when the oven is on, regular or convections mode. you can see this fan squirel cage in the back wall of the oven. if you were to pull the range out, you will notice (atleast on mine) that there is another much smaller fan on the backside of the range behind the removable metal panel. what the smaller fan is for, i have no idea. so there are two fans, plus if you have the down draft feature, thats 3 total. hope this helps somehow.

FC is a communication error caused by poor connections with the wiring between the logic and relay boards in the unit... Disconnecting and re-connecting the wires and looking for / reflowing the solder joints behind the header connectors will fix your issue
The switch for the optional grill attachment is activating...pull the tray/pan on the left side that holds the two burner grates toward the front...it should shut off. To correct the problem permanently, you'll need to adjust the position of the switch. The switch gets lose over time and slides on its mount until it gets out of range. The purpose of the switch is to activate the blower continuously when using the optional grill accessory. When you remove the left-side grates and the tray/pan the grates set in...you'll notice a protruding piece of metal on the front of tray/pan that fits into a hole in the cavity where the tray sits. Inside that hole is the switch that is out of position. Getting at the switch to adjust its position is not difficult, but you need to remove the upper front panel...KLS

my jen-Air has a problem with it continuing to beep. Ive tried to get it to stop by pushing all the buttons. When I pust the off/cancel button it just keeps beeping. Tried the stop timer button and same thing. When I turn on either the bake or convection bake button it automatically just shuts off by itself. It is approx 10-13 years old. HELP, or please tell me to get a new one.
