Hi, I have a problem with my Panasonic camera PV-GS50D-K. Everything seems right like for the sound and everything, but when it comes to recording something, the lense doesn't work. On the little screen beside and in the lense, everything appears to be black, so it's impossible for me to record anything except for the sound. Do you know if there's any functions on the camera who permit to turn on the lense or anything so I could see images again? Thank you

Are you using Windows Vista or XP? Have you downloaded the correct driver and installed it on your computer?

Also, the most easiest way on how you can copy the video file from your camcorder is by taking out the SD card and then plug it in your SD card reader. It should be detected as a mass storage device.

Scroll down to the 8th one - USBDriver gs50 (1331KBytes Feb/03)
For Windows 98SE/Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP for Panasonic Palmcorder Camcorders.
For models: PV-GS50S, PV-GS70.

According to a user on another forum (driverguide), it works for the PV-GS50D as well as the 2 listed.

If you have Head Cleaning Cassette play it at 10 seconds or use new Cassette for 10 minutes play or record. Otherwise Video Head damage
